I haven't been to work either , I am finally feeling a little better, my throat is better and I have no temp, and no throwing up. Dh is also sick!! I think he has more of a head cold, I have/had the flu!

I still have some coughing and stuffy nose, and I am really weak. I have no energy what so ever! Pnut has been a lot better, he has been laying with me more, and he has been more relaxed. My Mom came the other night to bring me some 7up and she stayed for a couple hours whiched helped a lot bc I wasnt able to eat or drink anything until she brought me 7up and chicken noodle soup!! I think Pnut realized I was sick when he saw and heard me throwing up all night/day .

I think I am on my way to recovery!! Thanks all for the well wishes!! You guys are the best!
I have a few remedies that I use when I'm sick.
First cuddle with Pnut and use it as a chance to master your doggie massage techniques. I had a concussion a few weeks ago, and kept Harley in bed with me, I felt horrible cause I couldn't do any training so I massaged him behind his ears most of the day. He didn't complain

As for you... here are all of the things I would do when I was singing competitively and I got sick:

- Steam - 1 pot boiling water in a sink, cover with a towel and put 2 drops eucalyptus oil in it. carefully stick your head under slowly, and add a bit of cool water if it's too hot. Just gulp in the warms soothing air,

- teas are great... DO NOT drink lemon it dries your vocal cords and makes your throat hurt more... I had a professional vocal coach at explain this to us...

- if you are just looking for soothing you can add honey to the tea or if you can tolerate it drink honey straight (but that may make you wanna throw up (this isn't good for singing, but I'm doubting your goal is to carry a tune tomorrow )

- Lastly if you're stomach isn't upset another soother that is good for coating the vocal cords is 1 tsp of olive oil in a bottle of room temperature water, shaken well (it tastes disgusting and only certain people can drink it on a good day, DO NOT TRY IF STOMACH IS UPSET) this is what a lot of professionals use in singing (another tip from the coach).
