YT Addict | Tikka I believe already had her growth spurt, when I replied to her ad her owner said she was 4lbs. So I figured she would max out around 5-6. However, he called me the day before I was supposed to come get her and said "She is actually weighing in at 7lbs, it's been a couple months I guess she's gotten chunky, do you still want her" So in two months she put on 3lbs. Of course I said yes, we wanted a 6-7lb girl because those little 3lb guys/girls aren't as good for jogging, tug of war, fetch, swimming the lake, and playing with huge dogs that are rough. She does all of these things! My 5lb Pom does too, but he is a lot more fragile! We'll see what happens in the next 3 months! But I do believe she is done at 8 months old... just her genetics I guess! I would say 8months-1.5 years depending on the parents and their bone structure. Tikka is very muscular!

YorkieTalk Newbie! | Pup pads or not My yorkie is 11 weeks old and from what I've heard that small dogs are harder to housebreak I would say that i am very proud of my pup we have had him now 5 weeks and i can say with us sticking to the same routine of taking him out he has been during well I still keep a puppy pad in his crate for the times he may not be able to hold his self she we are at work. But lately I've notice with him growing he has been not using the pup pad but will hold it until we let him out but he have use the pad a few times. So at his 11 weeks vet visit the vet tells me that I shouldn't be using the pads that they will only confuse him what's your thoughts or experience with this |

| My Nikki 3 1/2 pounds at a year she is ten now but by 2 she was close to 5 pounds. Maddie was the same weight as Nikki and now she is 5 pounds too. I think the tiny one stop at 2 the bigger ones at 1. |
