| Stinky Is it normal that even dough I bath my dog regularly (weekly, same products) she gets stinky quickly? It's there something to get worry about, like a skin condition or the food or something? Please advise |

| My parents had the same problem with me. Have you asked the vet? Does she roll around outside? Food? Medicines? |

| My step mom has the same problem with her yorkie sasha, the vet said it is just an oil her skin is producing, but i dont have that problem with molly she only gets a beth about every other week or so and she never stinks and she picks up the parfume scent of my skin and she smells like that from being close to me. You might check with your vet.

I don't have that problem either. I did notice when the groommer grooms him, his fresh scent doesn't last even though I gave her his usual shampoo and conditioner. (I had an allergic reaction to her shampoos) I don't think the groomer massaged the shampoo all the way down to the skin, making him stinky 3 days later.

| I'm gonna say it's not necessarily normal unless he's getting really dirty in between baths. What does he smell like? Is he getting wet when going outside?

| She is mostly inside the house. She goes outside only to do her business. What shampoo can you recommend me, I'm using John Paul. Thank you all for your comments. |

| Oh yea I hear ya I have one stinky one too. My dear sweet Bella is called Bella the smella. She gets greasy looking and her anal gland is always an issue with her. I am seriously thinking about getting them removed since I heard they can do that. She is bathed 1x a week and after about 4 days she is stinky again. I don't think shampoo or conditioner would make much difference but if you find one let me know. |

| Charlie doesnt really get stinky but he smealls like a frito there is a thread on that but i dont think frito is a bad smell, it has something to do with a fungus he has on his feet I think I just make sure and bathe him really well and make sire his feet stay dry. that oily smell that was mentioned I only get that smell when he is stressed out like a car ride or storm not sure why... man it can be bad.

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | I'd check ears, and teeth. If all is well there, then as someone suggested it could be the oil she produces.

| It's caused by the food your feeding. You may want to either home cook or find a better quality of dog food.

| Roxie stinks too. I asked the vet about it and he couldn't find anything. He expressed her anal glands, and said her teeth and gums were fine. It might just be her natural scent.

| I'm thinking it might be the food since I change it from Royal Canin because she was so itchy. The itch has stop but now she is smelling. And thinking about it, it's being since I changed the food and it is all natural. |

| I'm even thinking giving her a puppy cut so I can bathe her more often and because the weather too, here in Puerto Rico is getting so hot and in summer is even worst. |
