Sometime my friends really disappoint me!

Wow. That is so sad that you cannot put up photos and such. I am sure that these same people would not think twice about putting up whatever picture they wanted to remind them of something positive in their life...... Wait, maybe thats it. Maybe they dont have anything in their life and so they are secretly jealous of you and the joy you have.

We have dogs and cats and I love to come home to both but my dogs show me that they dont care what my day was like they are just happy to shower me with love and welcome me home. I would hate to be without that love every day.

I personally think you should put your pictures back up. I have a digital picture frame that has all my family rotating through it (skin and fur). I get comments all the time. I dont bring the subject up other people do.

I am so sorry your coworkers are so rude.
I actually refused to go to my mothers anniversary party because my dads best friends was there.
during the wedding Gatsby was the ring bearer and he went to the reception after the wedding well my dads best friend decided to bring his massive pit-mix(nothing against pittbulls It was a descriptive term) to the reception and Gatsbyhad to be locked up and when i had a fit my own family said "well he is just a dog and you are over reacting" I did not even talk to my mom for a month after the wedding because of it
maybe I was being petty but My dog always comes first.

The same thing happened to me when my Dad died. A close "friend" told me to "get over it" and I would ruin my kids if I kept crying. Needless to say I am not friends with her anymore.

As far as people making cruel remarks about our pets, you have to try your best to ignore them and I actually feel sorry for people like that because they have never known the love of a pet. They have no idea at all. They just don't understand.

Anyone who knows me feels my life is much richer and actually see a side of me they didn't know because of my wee furbutt.
So much that co-workers and friends who weren't particularly crazy about dogs, are rethinking that. They wish I could just clone Teegy so they could love him too.
I have been told that when I am off on vacation days I must bring him to the office to visit. I agree that an entire mob should show up in your reception lobby to meet you for lunch hahahahaha

Lou my friend, hang tough, and don't let what any moronic tulip says to you about your dogs. I have had the same things said to me, especially with old Carlo, even from family members. I have no use for a lot of family members, and I can live with that. You have to have a dog, and love the dog to know you will do whatever it takes to make them comfortable, or to cure and help them. So shake it off, and move on. Have a great day.

Lou There are some people in this world that just do not and cannot begin to understand how hurtful their words are to others. It is so sad to think these same people probably have not been able to open their hearts to the unconditional love of a dog. YT is a community of people that are bound together by one thing that we share in common. Some of us are more outspoken them others but I really believe that we all have allowed that love to wiggle into our hearts and it has made us better people for it.

Would you like me to drop by to set them straight? If I jump in my head south 45 minutes tops!

Lou, do not let their archaic ways of thinking change who you are. They are but shells of human forms wandering the earth, until they really 'know' the love of a precious Yorkie, they will never be 'whole' in heart or spirit!

Just to be so unaccepting and judgemental of what is so true and dear in someone else's heart is callous and rude, to say the least. They were deprived of love as children and adults, and are trying to find it in partying and shopping!

And just remember, we could do what they do... and love a puppy or two. And not miss a beat, and be kind and accepting of others passions, and tolerant of others' differences.

It is Okay to be different. If we were all the same, the world would be a bit boring.

When they make rude remarks, I would just tell them...

Look, I can understand that you may not 'get' me, but my pups are like childen to me. I choose to feel this way, and if you don't like it, and can't accept that they are part of me, then please do not make stupid remarks, I really don't care to hear it, in fact, I have heard it all before. If that is all you have to offer, then, please, don't even stop by my desk... just keep walking. On the other hand, for those who have children, I understand the love you have for them, and would never say anything out of line or insult you for loving them, so please just extend me that curtesy and allow me to love who, what, where and when I choose, and keep your inappropriate comments to yourselves.

And I want to see pics of your desk, redecorated, with a big 8x12 glossy of the winning 'World's Best Yorkie Butt' Contest photo of Adie in the middle! And make another sign to frame and display... 'World's Best Yorkie Mama', because you are, and here, at YT, know that you are loved and very respected. And don't you forget it.

Standing O here in my home!!!!! I cannot have two legged children, and I am so grateful I have my four legged one and also get so tired of people belittling my little furbaby at times (mainly family with two leggeds)! Equal rights for four-legged children!!

OMG!!! I was so at the shrink's office when I decided I HAD to have Harley. well he wasn't Harley yet back then, but I decided that I was going to go to the breeders. Saved a lot of money in that respect from getting the dog.

I'm so sorry you have to go through that, I had a group member who used to make awful comments about Harley this semester and I almost lost it at them, but I kept telling myself that I was the bigger person.

All of your true friends are here, we understand all of the crazy things you do for your baby. I know my true friends based on the fact that I not only ramble on to them about my dog, but I share the funny stories I read on YT. They still listen to me, so they obviously care.
