| I need help with clothes closet ideas I've always kept all the munchkins' clothing on shelves and rods in my entryway closet. But with the addition of Dolly and the enormous wardrobe she arrived with, I need to find them their own little closet. Does anyone have ideas for an inexpensive, yet nice looking, setup that would work for this? I am not a very creative or artistic person, so please - nothing too hard! Maybe something you've seen on Amazon or Ebay, or at your local dollar store? Thanks! Bonny

| Sounds like they could use their own little house! (JK) Some folks have purchased armoires at 2nd hand stores and refinished them... armoire - Google Search

| Ive seen some cute wardrobes at Lowes that could be painted or stenciled. They are people sized not dog sized I dont like dog sized they dont have enough room in them for me. My mother in law took two of them and put a rod in them for hanging and then the rest of the space has functional shelves. She then put a white board over top of them and made like a unit for my daughters room and she put a makeup vaniety inbetween. It worked perfectly for her room.

| I got an Espresso ClosetMaid 2-Door Organizer from Target. I only put one shelf up and put an extendable shower rod at the top part of it. Works Perfect..... http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/182-8953072-7490562?asin=B001UTPW2Q&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=B00 1UTPW2Q |

But, I don't know a thing about refinishing furniture....maybe I could find a nice one that doesn't need much done to it?

Love the extendable shower rod idea, too! So easy to install and I bet it does work well. I wouldn't have thought of that.

| Ive never looked for them online but at my lowes these were where the furniture pieces were. They are really a shelving unit with a door but you just dont put all the shelves in to make room for how ever many hanging rods you want

And Target is right next door to Lowes so I can look at both places before I decide. Sweet!

That would work, or one can just paint over it with regular latex house paint (for walls) ... maybe a light sanding first to rough up any slick spots (helps the paint to stick). Painting is easier than staining, less labor intensive, and you can get water based paints so clean up is easy. But if it's in good enough shape that you're satisfied with, doing nothing to it really sounds good... (that's called the 'Rustic' look!) Oh, Congratulations on your new baby!

| Now the one she used was a thicker wood type of rod but I think a shower curtain rod would work just as well.

Good point....it MIGHT be big enough for all of Dolly's stuff (I can't believe all the stuff that girl has).
