| Biewers! I have had many Yorkies over the years and now that I know the Biewer I love the laid back personality and the fact that they don't bark much at all. Moo and Maddie are 3 1/2 and I bet I've only heard them bark a handful of times. My Biewers love everyone and they get along well with other dogs. The exception to that is Peanut...he was unsure around younger kids because he hadn't been around them but now that my grandson has been coming over almost daily he is doing just fine with him. I love the full tail of the Biewer, the texture of their coat, the three colors on their head and the way they smile at everyone...you just can't beat their personality. |

| Another vote for Biewer. I am planning on a getting one for my next dog when the time is right. I have been speaking with a breeder who has bred both Yorkies and Biewers and she feels they have a more laid back personality as well.

| Since I have a Biewer, I am partial to the biewer. Bogie is a barker and true terrier that is for sure, but he is such a loving little guy and loves to lay in my arms like a little baby. He can play nonstop for hours and then snuggle up with and sleep like a baby. He is a charmer and a little love bug. I have never seen a parti in person, but from the pictures I have seen here, they are beautiful too.

| The controversy between partis and Biewers is just insane...it all seems to hinge on what ancient documents someone can dig up concerning Yorkies. I also don't understand why when a piebald Yorkie was born in the US, it became a fault, while when the same thing happened in Germany, it became its own breed that looks exactly like a Yorkie except for color. I can't tell the difference between them by looking. I do like the fact that the Biewers have long tails though. But a Parti could have that too if you just left the tail long. |

| If there was no standard Yorkie, I would get a Bliewer, and a Cane Corso! But, there is a standard, so that is all I will own. But to each their own. Get what you want and what you will love. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I really love them both. Like Jen, I have a parti who has a full tail - so I have the best of both worlds. I love my girl. I do love some of the super dark colors that Biewers have on their face - it's just so striking! And it goes without saying, but I love my non-parti Yorkie babies too !

The breed has now, however, been recognized in other countries by registries recognized by AKC and show in FCI confirmation shows.
