| ![]() My ZoE is like that too...gobbles her food so fast. I've started stuffing her dinner kibble in a kong to slow her eating down a little. Someone on another thread suggested putting a golf ball in the bowl to slow down how fast she eats. I'm gonna try that at breakfast tomorrow!

| ![]() Tibbe will eat anything but oranges and other citrus. He has never refused his food - some days he doesn't eat much but he never goes on hunger strikes or anything like that. He's on the go so much I think he is usually hungry and eats. He usually eats by bringing his food piece at a time from the kitchen into the den and eats it watching me as he eats it!

| ![]() Scoobers is a Schnorkie (mini schnauzer yorkie hybrid) he eats an incredible amount for his size...considering his sister Princess (min schnauzie) is such a gluten we can no longer free feed...I always thought it was the min schnauzie side of him. Scoobers eats 1 1/2 cup per kibble meal, a RAW lunch and snacks...he is still skinny though but then again he is very very active.

| ![]() My rescue eats like crazy!! After she finishes, she walks around and scavenges for food. I feed her more than my own dogs...and she's only 3 lbs... She eats WAY more than Emma who is also 3 lbs. We have to beg Emma to eat! ![]() ![]()

She also goes to her food bowl and hits it with her paw when she wants more.

| ![]() Scooter will anything that doesn't bite back. He is the most enthusiastic eater in the world. Every bite is wonderful. He will even eat tuna salad (just a taste because the mayo can't be good for him). He does, however, draw a line at cat food. Guess it's because he dislikes the cats so much he also dislikes their food. I adore him. ![]()

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | ![]() All of mine just *love* food. When I'm making their meals, all 3 have their unique little "dinner dance" that they do while waiting for me to be done. As I'm taking their bowls over to their eating area - Wylie runs in tiny circles, Marcel hops on his back feet, and Pfeiffer does slow circles and/or jump circles.

I thought that fish wasn't good to feed them on a regular basis? The puppy packet I received from my breeder and the Yorkie book I have both state that fish (raw, canned, or cooked) fed in high amounts can result in a thiamine deficiency that can lead to seizures and in severe cases, death. Sorry, I don't mean to be an alarmist, but I knew I remembered reading that so I just grabbed my book and puppy packet to confirm the info. | |
