| Crying in middle of the night- 1 yrs old This last month I haven't gotten the best sleep. A month ago, Winnie who is 1 years old, got sick and when she would whine in the night I would let her outside so she wouldn't poop or pee in her kennel. Now she is better but she caught on that if she whines that I will get up. Now she will whine and I tell her to be quiet. But she will continue. This will start about 1 hour before I get up. Before all this she would sleep until my alarm went off. This isn't the case any more. I am getting less and less sleep becaue of this. I do not want to get up and let her out. She should be able to hold this as she has in the past. My other thinking is that she wants to lay in bed with us. I know that she likes it. I let her lay with me until my boyfriend comes to bed. Then she gets put in her kennel. I hope I didn't start anything. I really need to find out what to do. I can't keep waking up at 4 or 5 am with her whining and me yelling to her to be quiet. I do not want to get up and let her out nor do i want to punish. Can someone please help. |

| Just out of curiosity - Did you switch your clocks for daylight savings time? If so, she is whining approximately when your alarm clock used to go off. Her little system doesn't automatically change it's biological clock, just because the rest of the world changed their clocks. |

You are a genius! So how long will this take for her to overcome? She's going to bed at the same time and holding it the same amount of time. Thank you! This never crossed my mind! | |
