| Heartguard Plus vs Interceptor Which do your YT prefer? We have tried Interceptor and Minnie will not chew the flavored tablet. I had a sample for Heartguard Plus and that was like a treat to her. I will be using Heartguard Plus from now on to prevent heartworms, roundworms & hookworms. |

| Intercepter prevents heartworms, roundworms & hookworms too. I prefer it over Heartguard Plus....Intercepter is provided in dosages more closely related to weight...

| We use Interceptor. It appears (only by internet reading and nothing else) that toy breeds tend to do slightly better with it. It also covers whipworms in addition to the things Heartgard Plus covers. I do now do it for the better dosage because Interceptor is a 4/5 overdose so they can say it controls intestinal parasites. So it is just as much an overdose of drug as Heartgard is... Both are very good products and you should use what works best for your dogs.

| Sadie HATES her heartguard. What a going on with every treatment. We break it up in tiny pieces and use P.B., cheese or what ever may be on hand. She just spits it out, usually minus the cover up. This is usually about 1/2 hour ordeal. Sometimes I break it up into 2 days. She used to like it , I can't figure out what changed. I bought a years supply and its almost gone. YEA!!! I will talk to the vet about some thing different.

| London gets Interceptor. Sometimes she'll eat it on her own, other times I put it in peanut butter or fruit or whatever I have in the house that she likes. We've never tried Heartguard, her vet recommends interceptor.

YT 1000 Club Member | I just switched both of mine to Inceptor. Charlie was on heartguard and Natalie was on Sentinel (which gave her dirreaha) so I switched both to Inceptor. they have done great on it so far.

| Both of mine are on Interceptor, they won't eat it if given like a treat so I put it in a a teaspoon of canned food and they are none the wiser Years ago we had a Doberman pup that had whipworms and learned that those things eggs can live in the ground for 6 months after the dog passes it. And since you never know how attentive others are to their dogs health issues so that is why I've always asked for Interceptor when we get our heart worm treatment from the vet.

| My dog used to spit out the Interceptor when I put it inside of a piece of food. Now, I just give it to him and tell him it is a treat and he eats it right up.
