				   | I had Gizmo neutered and his extra dew claws removed (they would get stuck in the carpet) almost 2 weeks ago. He is getting his stiches out on monday and i am getting nervous! Gizmo is really wiggly i hope they can get him to stay still so they can remove them. I was told a vet tech is the one that is going to be removing his stiches.... Do they know what to look for as far as if everythings healed and free of infection? Gizmo has been on amoxicillan for the last week and he will be done on friday. Will Gizmo still have to wear his "lap shade" after the stiches and bandages are removed? Hes been sitting by the front door crying to go out and take him for a walk but with bandages on his back legs i can't. |

				   | I was lucky with mine that he was neutered and I adopted him 8 days after his surgery. He does have 2 little prickly points I can see and feel where I guess the stitches used to be. Is that normal? I assume they will eventually fall out? |

				   | I'm glad Gizmo's stitches are coming out. They will probably have someone hold him while the tech removes the stitches. I don't think he will have to wear the lamp shade collar anymore just as long as he doesn't lick his incision. Good luck!! He'll be happy to go outside again!! |

				   | I'm sure Gizmo will do just fine. They have technicans that will keep him still. It's amazing how some dogs settle down when they are in the hospital/vet setting. Of course, some react just the opposite. The techs are used to handling both situations. Feel better Gizmo.
