That was a great suggestion about watching out for neighbor kids which isn't something I have to worry about at this point as we live in the country and we don't have any close neighbors and my kids are not in the stage of having friends over. I am aware of possible dangers and how to take precaution. My Jacks were really small as pups. (I know not a small as a yorkie can be) I raised them and now they are a year and a half old. ^^ However accidents of any kind can happen if you have kids or not, other dogs or not and other possible scenarios. Now I can understand there are parents out there that have super wild kids that dont mind and would be harmful to a puppy. As a seller you can tell if a buyer is a deadbeat well most of the time. I have a 7, 4 and 2 year old which are well mannered kids but all kids will be kids I know. I am very capable of taking care of a pup with kids and having one will not take away from my family as some might suggest. I have time for all my loved ones. I am in no way going to be dishonest to a breeder and hide the fact I have kids. It is the breeders personal choice not to sell to someone with kids, but it is profiling because not everyone has kids that are mean and not careful with puppies. I think it is mainly finding the right baby for my family through a loving, caring, and honest breeder. I am in no hurry to find a puppy because I want to make sure the puppy I will purchase will be from a trusting breeder and healthy. I am mainly doing a lot of research on people here in Oklahoma selling puppies. Knowing Oklahoma has a high rate of puppy mills I want to make sure I don't ever come across one. I know some are very sneaky. You guys are some of the nicest people I have came across in a long time and I can tell you guys really care about your pups. I am new here but not new with yorkies. I will continue to lark and add to the forum! ^^ I appreciate all of your suggestions and concerns. | |
