| Ideas for a natural detangler? I use Isle of Dogs products, which I love! but I hate the smell of the detangler spray. I've started feeding Harley fish to supplement his kibble, and his coat just shimmers on his own, so I don't need the shine spray crap. Anyway, does anyone know of a really simple natural scentless remedy to detangle the occasional mat? I was thinking baby oil lightly spread on my comb in small amounts may help, but didn't want to try it without asking.

| I'm gonna second cornstarch I use it on my best friends Maltese. I just sprinkle it on and then rub it into the Mat and work it through with my fingers, It normally loosens right up and Then I take the pin brush and brush the mat out if It is really stubborn I will use the comb If the mat does not loosen sprinkle some more on.

| ages ago before all these products for dogs came into effect, we used to use dog shampoo then human conditioner... wonder if it will help if u were to make a spray leave in conditioner as a detangler... a little bit of conditioner and water in a spray bottle. perhaps you can even use doggy conditioner |
