| Not to sound stupid but rub it where? Will it dry out their skin/hair? Will I want to put her in my salad later that evening? Just kidding but I am serious about how to use it. I tried everything last year and had one big mess on her and in my house. I refuse to have that problem again. |

I use it on the feet/legs mainly when I do use it as a temporary leave on rub, like when we go jogging in the woods or to the river. I can say I have used it as a rub before as the site suggested and then washed it back off...#2 on the site below...Princess is allergic to fleas she got a hot spot after we took in a stray for a couple days we had fleas hatching out of our carpet! It was nasty I went extreme! Then again if you have ever seen a hot spot from a flea allergy you know why I was freaking out...I put a triple antibiotic ointment on the hot spot and use ACV on the rest of her. Here's one site but read a lot more too. I use it in their water too for reflux issues in my mini schnazuer...and for reflux on myself...and it balances PH Benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar - The Top 6 CAREFUL AROUND EYES LIKE WITH ANY NON BABY SHAMPOO THOUGH IF YOU USE IT AS A RUB. | I'm glad everything worked out. Last July worth I had my Walter outside with me while they were shooting fire works. He got scared and took off running but I saw that he went over by my nephew so I figured he was okay. I was getting to involved with watching fireworks when I realized he wasn't in my site. The first thing I did was call for him and he did not come so I jumped in my car and headed down the road. I come back crying but find out my husband found him hiding by the pool. He was so scared and I felt bad. I guess he will be inside this 4th of July. lol

there have been a couple of great threads about acv... I think one was about eye gunk -- that lead off to acv. Anyway, I started adding to my guys drinking water. It seams to have helped. Sam has flea allergies.. horrible what one stray flea can do to the poor guy, I will try it as a rub too. Thanks Shinja

I have done it as often as nightly when we had the flea issue here but that was due to an extreme situations (darn baby fleas were hatching constantly-still makes my skin crawl just thinking about it). That was only on Princess though, the week. Generally I've only done it weekly at most but monthly to remove any shampoo, conditioner, leave in residue left on the coats. I forgot to say I use the leave in rub on Princess only and then do the rub on leave on a few minutes and wash off for my other dogs after we have gone to "danger zone" LOl like places we know we are likely to come in contact with fleas and ticks...my dogs are treated with Frontline Plus, but I still use ACV to minimize their exposure to them as much as possible. | Something similar happened to us one time also. We only have a cattleguard at our entrance and then there's acres of pasture before you get to the road. Tatum and the Aussies outside never go past that cattleguard.... BUT one time the cleaning lady let her out to potty and the best we can figure is that Tatum thought she heard the Gator driving around and assumed the girls (our daughters) were driving around in the pasture and she took off! The cleaning lady ran after her but never could catch her or find her. She turned up about a mile down and across the road sitting on a neighbor's porch. That neighbor had been out on her riding lawnmower mowing by her road. I'm thinking that's what Tatum heard. She had NEVER done anything like that before but it was right after the girls being home for the Summer and they had gone back to school that week - leaving poor Tatum a little lonely. Scared the you-know-what out of us for the couple hours that we searched! Tatum is very well trained to stay in the yard but still.... you have no idea what will set these little boogers off sometimes. I don't even want to think about the cars that could have been on the road while she was running down it. Thank God you had a good outcome with your baby!
