I actually respected and felt so much more confident in the breeder I was getting my dog from because of the questions they asked and in edition my breeder seemed even more knowledgeable and able to give me continual support which was important to me as an adopter...

I should say though the first time I contacted a rescue and was asked if I was willing for them to do a home inspection I was really shocked, I was like why does some stranger need to come into my home to verify I'm going to care for this dog I am getting him from a rescue doesn't that show I care enough already? I have volunteered at rescue before and we never did it...but after someone was very understanding in explaining why I was willing to do so and again respected the person adopting the dog to me more because of their show of after care and placement care.

I love that one breeder I have talked to retains a $500 deposit until proof the pup she adopted out on a limited registration (as she does with all she adopts out) was actually altered as her contract requests...hope she'll jump in on this convo. (hint hint) I really love how many breeders only have litters after their wait list is full enough they can select homes from already pre-qualified families.

To the OP on this situation so glad you as a breeder were able to see the red flags and just said NO!

Thank you for all the great info I really do feel more confy about wanting to do the homestudy Iam asking for.. And I did just say no, but Iam not a breeder nor do I want to be as that is a hard task to forfill, My little girl should of never became preg,Witch is why Homes were not lined up befor hand, I waited to long to spay her and when we went to have it done she was already preg, Well Shame on me I take full credit for my neglectful actions and promised my babie shed never go threw this again and is being fixed after nursing her babies... Witch is why placement for these pups are so important to me its the 1st, last and only offspring my dogs will have. I got my babies and have lived for 2 years just being a yorkie lover I really never new anything about the scum out there trying to breed these so called t-cups for gain, Yes okay people sell pups as I paid a nice penny for both of mine, But new the person I got them from and she new everything about my life and life styles. And that they were in good hands, I joined YT when my BellaDonna became preg because bascaily I was lost. I did have her deliver at the vets because i new nothing about whelping, Sure I read the internet but new it could not provide enough info for the saftey of my dog. So I thought Id do what I saw post the pups for sale holding a deposit untill they were 8-10 weeks old, And Id find a good home right? Out came the crazey GREEDERS and Iam just blowed away at what people ask me,

I agree...that lady should not have one of your babies. If these two are the only ones you'll have...I think you should see if any of your good friends or family members would want them. That way you'll get to see them grow up. I would love to have one of them, but two is enough for me for now. I know someday I will want a third

Belladonna (nice name LOL) I apologize I should have better read your post...I respect you so much more even knowing you are not a breeder and you are doing so much for an accidental litter. I have two unaltered dogs here a male and female and I know how hard and how much effort has to be put out to prevent pregnancy.
I haven't gotten my Elvis neutered yet because of the concerns of putting an epileptic dog under anesthetist, I know many people have done so and without incident but until he has been on meds long enough and I feel more comfortable the risk is lessened I'd rather put out the extra effort than risk his life...but I'd never use myself as an example and truly believe everyone should fix their pets.
Good job not only accepting responsibility for your mistake but for doing more to find responsible safe homes for your pups than many breeders do. We need more pet owners like you in the world.
