| Yay!!! Ok so I got Lulu a lot later than most get puppies. She was 17 weeks. Her ears were floppy and when i joined here I asked how to get them to stand like the traditional Yorkie is supposed to. People told me I could shave them, tape them, glue them or leave them My hubby and I trimmed her hair last week on her ears.. Didnt do anything LOL. So on Friday I gave her a bath and groomed her myself. I trimmed around her feet and her but and her eyes and just cleaned her up a bit. Well I also tipped her ears (which BTW did NOT make her ears stand LOL). Hubby came home and said it looked ridicules and was a tad upset so I said ok and we shaved her entire ears. It looked cute honestly. She has dark ears and I didnt shave to the skin so it looks pretty normal. Well still with all the hair off her ears never stood. We decided she was fine as a floppy eared pup that it was cute and if we wanted to show we would get another puppy down the road. Well I woke up this morning and got Lulu out of her crate to take her potty and guess what?!?!?! Her ears were standing up!!!! On their own!!! So happy and excited they did it on their own |

| Yea for Lulu! That's pretty much happened with our Nicco. We tried taping at for several days, but he kept getting the tape off so we gave up. The next morning when we got up the floppy ear was straight up in the air!

| what type of clippers did you use to shave the ears? I know Kody would not stand still or keep still for me to do this.

| If all else fails do what I did!!! No seriously... that's great that they did it on their own. Wally had the floppyest ears when I got him ( that's why I loved him so much) Now they are straight up. I did shave the tips a bit. But now the are straight as an arrow!!

| Congrats. Glad the ears perked up. I still haven't tried to cut the hair on Buddy's ears. I have the Wahl that I use on my own beard, so I could try. But for now, he's gonna have hair in his ears just like me! |

| Aaah. Is she teething? That can cause them to be a bit "confused."

| When I got Bella she still had one ear that wasn't up. He told me that it would most likely stand up on it's own in the next few weeks. He was right and it did, but would flop down ocassionally. The more time went on it just stayed up. I think Lulu's ear will stand up on it's own with no problems too! Just needs some more time maybe. |

| Piper's did that for the longest time - one ear up the other ear down - for what felt like months. We were pretty sure they would stay that way, my daughter was thrilled because she would be different and stand out. Then one day they both stood up, and I held my breath, cause they would flop down again, and they stayed up much to my daughter's disappointment!! |
