| I wonder the same thing?! We have seen two here in Colorado! We saw one at a parade ... across the street and was gone by the time we could get to the other side!! And ... we were looking for a parking space at Lowe's and a couple were walking across the parking lot with a tiny dog trotting along with them, NOT on a leash!! We were sooo excited! Patrick stopped and rolled his window down and waited for them ... asked them, "Is that a Yorkie?" The lady picked him up to show us as she was looking at Toto. He was soooo cute .... puppy haircut and really sweet! We all talked about our babies for a few minutes [traffic backing up!] It wasn't until later we realized we should have gotten some information and possibly had "play dates" for the two of them!! We were just so shocked to see another Yorkie, we didn't even think!!

| Well if most owners are like me, then it's not a wonder why we never see them! lol Bouncer goes EVERYWHERE with me! Movies, grocery store, the mall, Wal-Mart, restaurants, etc. He has a special carrier that looks like a brown alligator skin purse that he stays in (unless we are in a place where he can come out, then I carry him in my arms). It has pockets on the outside that I can slip my money, ID, and cell phone into, plus anything else I need to carry with me. I can say I never really see Yorkies out and about but I know there are tons in Chattanooga b/c they are ALWAYS in my groom shop! I guess most people just hide theirs like me! lol

| OK ... on second thought .... you are all probably right! We are "over-protective" of Toto!! However, I will just have to continue "missing" them because things could turn really "ugly" if I start trying to peek into "suspect" vehicles or questioning ladies with oversize bags about its' contents!! Oh ... I can just see it now!!!!

| Yeah, I'm thinking most Yorkie owners are less active than our group here. I think a lot of Yorkies are owned by seniors as well. Then there's the show Yorkie, which I think the owner really protects them and doesn't take em out much. So yeah, when we take Yoda out, we get tons of comments and lots of attention! |

| That is kinda funny that you mentioned this. Just last weekend my husband, Schatzie and I went to Sonic for a burger. Well, sitting in our truck Schatzie hears this "bark bark bark". I look next to us and this kid is getting out of his car holding a tiny cutie of a pie full grown Yorkie..Im like ohhhhh, I want that one!!!! It was so neat to FINALLY see "one of our own", hahahaa. I said to my husband, "See, that is the size Schatzie was sapposed to be, not a huge horse like herself, hahaa...But our next one will be tiny like that". He just looked at me with the look of "next one"???? I just smiled and said "yep I've been looking".

| it is so strange you brought that up. i work a part time job at the airport exit booth where you pay those outragous prices for parking(lol). i see quite a few yorkies of all sizes come thru there. other dogs too(some huge). but yorkies seemed scarce around here. i am finding more and more every day. i try to keep some treats in my booth for all dogs that pass thru there. people love it and are shocked that their dog gets a treat while they have to pay.
