Couldn't she accomplished the same thing with an existing dog? There is no reason to get a new dog each time.

She has called me a few times since to discuss her b/f problems and I have just made it a point to bring Bailey (the dog) up each time. I think she took the hint bc last time we talked she had found a way to keep her. I hope she isn't just saying that though to keep me from being angry and to get me to shut up. I hope she follows through with her plan. Each time shes called I simply have said, "What about Bailey?" Maybe not the best tactic but it seems to have helped her to think of a way to keep her.

Of course I had a feeling it would be this way bc she did no research on the breed and purchased from a byb. I'm just so annoyed but really want to try to keep my mouth shut bc she is a good friend. Guess I just needed to vent. I know its a little off topic. I just don't see how she can act like she loves this dog so much when she can give her up so easily. They are like children and a huge responsibility. Maybe I am over reaccting.

i do not think that you are over reacting. Because i had a friend do the same thing and eventually she had a baby and when her and the bf broke up she wanted nothing to do with her daughter. because she only wanted a baby when they were a family.
