this story is just so heartbreaking

BUT...I just seen a clip on the news saying that this man offered $1000 reward for information, and now people have been making donations, and the reward is up to $10, 000! I hope they can catch these sick heartless people

The picture of him holding his little girl breaks my heart. He looks so grief stricken and you can tell he loves his babies. I feel for him and his poor angels. I totally believe in karma and if these horrible, sick people aren't given justice this time around they surely will receive it in the next life. Be at rest sweet Alex.

Wonder how long it will be before that inhuman SOB works his way up the violence ladder to murder another human being. Animal abuse is very often the first steps to violent crime and killing. Hope they catch him soon. Notice how I keep using"he" when I am talking about the culprit..It so rarely is a female..

This story is so sad it's making me tear. Poor Mr Desrosiers & Bebe, my heart goes out to him. That picture of him holding Bebe is so sad. My thoughts are prayers are with him & Bebe & I hope they catch the bastard that did this. It's so sickening. This person needs to be caught, beat & tourtured.

That is soooo sad. I cant even begin to feel what he is feel. How tragic and terrible. Poor puppy...what did he do to deserve that?...NOTHING! I am so glad that the other pup was ok!!!

That is so sad...and it is my worst fear. On Long Island there is a lot of home invasions. We always have the house alarm on but it is still my fear to come home and either TJ and Roxy are doggie napped or worse (seriously or killed). They are my kids, I would just be soooooooo heart broken.

I hope they catch those horrible people!

I'm sitting at my desk at work crying. I just keep thinking how little Bebe doesn't understand where her friend is, and their owner looks so grief stricken. I can't even comprehend what he must be going through.

OMG I can't imagine coming home to see something like that . I would lose it, totally lose it! How could anyone do something like this to a defenseless little dog? Hope they catch them and do worse than Villette said!!

I did some reading on this sad story and found at least some proof that there are good people in this world

Joyce Scratch, a dog breeder who lives in Fawcett, 133 km northwest of Edmonton, says her children were inconsolable after learning of the Tuesday attack on Bob Desrosiers' three-year-old Yorkshire Terrier, Alex.

"When my children saw the news, they said they wanted to give Bob one of their puppies," Scratch said. "We have a male puppy and as soon as he's old enough I'll get him checked out at the vet and give him his first needles and Bob can pick him up."

Desrosiers arrived home around 5:20 p.m. to find his bungalow ransacked and Alex lying in a pool of blood on the kitchen floor, his head apparently crushed by the intruder's foot. Police have no suspects.

As many as a dozen people have called Desrosiers offering to top up the $1,000 reward his family is offering for information in the case. The total is now about $10,000.

That tears at my heart. I can't believe somebody could do something like that. The poor dogs and guy! I cried when reading this story....I am going to pray for that disturbed person who did such a horrible thing.
