Well, to a sense there are such things. My sister bought one, like one huge heated pad, for her Rottie. Differrent temps and all. One week later he passed on. She never got to use it for him.

Nope! Not crazy at all!
My mom and dad care for a family of three feral cats. They plug in a small heating pad and put it in a box full of towels for them during the winter. It's so cute seeing the kitties all piled in there. I'd totally do it for Rhia if I didn't keep my apartment toasty already!
