| It could be very dangerous if a dog like Carlo slept with you, and rolled on you! Yorkies are worth the risk! Since maxines night vision got worse, she now sleeps in a heated bed next to ours. SHe is afraid now to Jump down on the stairs next to the bed that she used to use. Getting old sucks! |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Taycie sleeps in bed with me and has been since I brought her home. I wouldn't have it any other way. I love snuggling her and waking up to her sweet little puppy kisses. As far as germs go, like others mentioned she gets a bath weekly, teeth are brushed daily. I wash her little face and feet. She eats good food and will always be up to date with vet vaccines, stool samples etc. I also change my sheets weekly. I am not worried about it, I wouldn't have it any other way

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Well our's don't sleep in the bed with us; the big dogs are on the floor, and Razzle in his crate on the floor beside me. It is more a safety issue for Razz, as I and hubby our restless sleepers, and well I did try once or twice when hubby was out of town to let Razz sleep in the bed with me, but in the middle of the night he decided to chase the cat, yowsers what a wake up call. So only our cat cuddles up on the bed, I figure Karma deserves that because that is his time to get cuddles without the doggies pushing him out of the way during the day. I think that if you have someone who is immuno-suppressed you might want to rethink letting the pups sleep with you, but if you keep your pups clean and you are healthy I think that the risks are extremely low anyhow. Oh and Steve I can't imagine having Magic roll over on me, it's bad enough when our 20 pound Coone decides to sleep on my belly.....whoosh out the air goes. lol

| Tatiana does not sleep in our bed for HER safety, not ours. We have a tall, huge Cal-king size bed with heavy comforters. I worried Tatiana may be smothered by the covers (she's a tiny, 3 lbs dog), or be pitched off the bed onto the hardwood floor. Incidentally, my husband and I are sound sleepers. Tatiana sleeps in an exercise pen by my bedside. She has a comfy wooden trundle bed where she's safe. |

| We have had this on tv's in England, but do you not think its just another thing to waste their time on, I mean who has even heard of anyone coming to harm from a dog sleeping on your bed, until we all saw it on tv. I bet half of dog lovers let their dogs lick their hands or face etc, but we all know you can get worms etc or so we are told. The only danger of my dog sleeping on our bed is we only have a double and not a king sized so were in danger of him growling at us for moving.

| Ok so lets see, my profession is a high school teacher. Hundreds of kids and millions of germs everyday. I think I am more worried about getting my dogs sick than the other way around. Both of my furbuts sleep with me, every night would not have it any other way.

| As I said in one of my posts, I wondered if this was just media hype! They do like to get us stirred up.

I was reading on another message board about people who NEVER bathe their dogs, these dogs run around on farms all day long and then never get bathed. Could that dog pass something to you in your bed? probably.

| If you notice in the study it says stuff about a little boy getting sick from sleeping with a FLEA INFESTED cat... uh, who lets their kids sleep with a cat infested with fleas? I'll take my chances. Everything in this world is dangerous in one way or the other. Our family has slept with our pets in our bed our whole lives, including my GSD and Golden Retriever, and many other dogs in our family. No problems here. The media tends to be over dramatic with everything they report anyways

| The only harm to me or hubby that I can think of caused by them sleeping with us is me falling out of our bed. I sleep very close to the side of the bed so the 4 can have their self appointed spots. Between the 4 dogs and dh turning over, it's a wonder I do not wind up on the floor.

| My babies sleep with me! Wouldn't have it any other way. If your dog cuddles with you on the sofa I am sure you would get the same germs as sleeping with them. I bathe them regularly, worm them, flea treatment. So why worry? Germs or no germs I'm still sleeping with my cuddly babies!
