| I am so sorry that you had to experience these same feelings over again. I will also pray that he/she became calm enough and allowed someone to get them to safety. Since the little one was obviously well cared for I will also pray that their owner and the puppy are reconnected. They must be afraid for their tiny one also. Bless you for trying so hard to protect this little baby.

| I know how bad you can feel. I was coming home on a 4 lane road and there was a chi running in the road. There were 3 kids on the side of the road in a yard, I think they were calling to him. I stopped the car and put on the flashers. Cars that were pulling out from a school stopped as well. As I was about to step out of the car and try chasing him, he ran back to the kids. I had to just sit there a minute and stop trembling. I had thought about getting him and taking to the house the kids sd he belonged to (if not kidnap him). I am a scaredy cat when confronting someone or being around strangers so this would be a BIG deal for me.

| This is so sad. I do hope though that you were being careful and did not endanger yourself! |

| Thank you guys so much for the support. I've been back up and down that road twice- to and from work today- and there was no sign of him, thank God! I was so afraid that I'd see him in the road. I hope that he found his way to someone's house or either his owners drove around looking for him and found him since he was definitely well cared for, clean, neutered- I could tell. ![]() It makes me wonder if either one of the dogs I have now ever got out, if they'd be that skittish to run away from everyone. With Crystal, my black lab, I knew there was no way she'd ever go to anyone. She was always super nervous around other people. And I guess Spike just stuck by her side so when people called, if she didn't go he didn't either. The two I have now are super friendly and I think they'd be in danger of being stolen because they seem to go to anyone. Edited to add: There's nothing on Craigslist about a missing dog fitting that description. I may post a note on there about seeing him just in case.
