| To the OP, Several people are waiting for your update in the Sick & Injured Forum.....Is it possible for you to link them to this thread. I'm so sorry about your pup and what you are going through. But, I do have a request. In the interest of the YT Membership that may be in search of a new pup, it would be beneficial for you to reveal the breeder. It should also be reported to the L.A. County Animal Control, this is a health issue that may affect other dogs in the area.

| I am so sorry for the loss of your little puppy. In your other thread you mentioned that you purchased your puppy from someone on YT. If this is true I would ask that you share your story with everyone and how this person is going to support you now that you lost your baby to parvo.

| I am sorry the little one passed away. But you say now you have none. You posted back in May last year that you had just got your first Yorkie, then September 14th you were looking for a playmate for Kai Lin, and on the 20th September you got a 5 year old female. January 13th this year you were looking for a male, and then on the 16th you had a 10 week old male. So what happened to Kai-Lin and the female?? You posted in the sick and injured forum last night that the puppy was vomiting and had diarrhea and was weak and couldn't stand. Everyone begged you to take him to an emergency vet then and there, even though you said you would take him today "if he made it through the night" I just do not understand when he had diarrhea, was weak and couldn't stand why you did not immediately get him medical attention instead of being online posting on a forum. I am heartbroken for that poor puppy.

| I'm sorry for ur lost.... We all due respect, and I apologize if I am wrong, but u sound like u really didn't care that much about that dog, ("will take him to fudged, IF he makes it thru the nite").... I understand not having money to pay high ER vet bills, but also a puppy is a life, I'm pretty sure they (the ER people) would have helped at least to save his life of it was possible.... I don't want to be rude, I promise, but it seems to me your stories (reference to other dogs, none now,a YT "breeder" but u didn't provide their name or user id) don't add up... IMHO..

| I have been thinking about your poor baby since reading this earlier this evening. You said your vet suspected parvo. Did he not do a parvo test to determine that? It is a simple test where they insert a swab into the dog's butt...then test the sample. One of my dogs had a parvo test not so long ago and it only cost $35 and if I remember right, it was only 15 minutes to tell the story. What did your vet do to try to save this helpless baby? Normally, if a vet suspects parvo, the first thing they do is that test and then begin treatment. I sure hope something was done to try to help this puppy.

| You were given very good advice. You didn't take it. Instead, if you had a pup the pup was taken in the morning to the vet, leaving him almost 24 hours without the urgent care he needed immediately. You've come on here making allegations about a YT breeder, yet MANY have asked who and you have not responded. IF this pup did die of Parvo, there could be someone else that can end up with the pup that ends up as yours did, but even more then that it leaves their dogs they may already have suseptable to getting sick. If you are going to make allegations, then come forward and post who it is, so not only others are warned but it also gives this breeder the opportunity to defend him or herself. MANY have asked what happened to your other Yorkies, and you have not answered. Sorry, don't want to sound fresh but it seems to me that someone may just be on here stirring stuff up. 13 posts in total and now you are gone again AFTER you stirred everyone up about this poor pup, if there is a poor pup. I hope you'll come on here and clarify what has happened and answer all these unanswered questions. If not, well then I think we have all gotten our answers. Elaine |

| Donating YT 10K Club Member | Poor baby. I'm very sorry. I don't understand the vet "suspected" parvo, however. There is a definitive test for parvo.

| I've never dealt with parvo so can only go by what I've read. From my reading, there are definitive tests for parvo but often only a tentative diagnosis is made as the treatment is supportive therapy based on the symptoms. Here's a little something. "Diagnosis Although symptoms can be very suggestive of Parvo, true diagnosis requires an antibody test that detects the actual parvovirus in stool samples. The test is an ELISA test or enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Early in the disease, this test can be negative. Virus isolation is possible but the procedure is quite expensive and rarely done. In practice, the presence of an acute hemorrhagic diarrhea is usually all that is required for a tentative diagnosis of parvovirus". From this link... Parvovirus In Dogs - Parvo In Your Dog ..and here's another link... Diagnosis of Parvovirus Given what I just posted, I can see why vets would just treat the symptoms rather than look for a definitive diagnosis. I do think a definitive diagnosis should be sought, however, as this disease is so easily spread. The OP saying the vet 'suspects' parvo and the OP saying now she has 'none' seems to be what some are hinging their suspicions on. Y'all might be right, but 'none' could also mean that she has no puppy now. The OP does have a brief posting style that reminds me of a twitter, so not much info is on any one post. I just wish that suspicions would be held in check for now as all we KNOW is what was posted and everything else is conclusions based on assumptions. It seems a little more compassion is in order for now, rather than being right about whatever suspicions one may have.
