Senior Yorkie Talker | Dog harness advice I bought Lexi a dog harness last year, it broke since then. I know she doesn't like the harness...so I need advice. I need a light, durable, non-bulky, comfortable harness. (i'm not going for flowery, designer look harnesses, but something that will do the job I might have to buy it off the internet so please throw websites at me! Thanks

| YT member Chattiesmom has great harnesses with matching leashes. I bought Sophie's from her and it is very durable. You can PM her and she'll 'hook you up' .

This one looks really good, I was just looking at it too! I'm not sure which size to buy. I measured Lexi, it says her girth is 14" Does that mean I buy a size 14? Should I go a size bigger or smaller to be safe? or is it exact already??

I know people who have that and their dog seems fine...im just concerned about it stretching or too hard to buckle... What are your thoughts?

ETA: The one downfall to this harness is that the velcro sometimes catches Lulu's hair if I don't have a sweater or shirt on first. It doesn't hurt her, but it could cause breakage. Just thought I'd let you know.

| Callie steps into it and then it takes a few seconds to buckle on on her back. Mine hasn't seemed it stretch at all. Another thing I like about it is if I put it over her clothes its easy just to buckle it on a different hole instead of some that you would have to readjust.

| I love Puppia. I think they're my favorite harnesses EVER. I've tried others and always go back to Puppia. They're lightweight (it's a mesh material), easy to wash, comfortable, come in different colors, and easy to take on/off, etc (most are plain -- which I actually like, nothing too extravagant). Amazon.com: Puppia Soft Dog Harness (Mesh) Orange... They have the regular vest-type that just goes over the head, but they also have step-in's. My second favorite is chattiesmom harnesses! They are really lightweight, custom fit, and the colors are really vibrant and nice. I like them alot.

| I use the Puppia also but they have a vest style that is great. They step in it and then it has a velcro 3 inch circle and then above that at the double d ring it clips closed. I used this on my sons Boston Terrier who is 95 percent muscle. LOL and he could not make it come off or release the clip or velcro from his pulling. I love it for my Yorkies because it is easy to put on, comfortable and durable. It will also not put a whole in your wallet. Here is a website with them http://www.spoiledsweetpets.com/puppiaharness.html

| Gotta put my vote in for the Buddy Belt. It's all Rio and Bullet wear - soft leather and an easy single buckle to fasten. A little pricey but they last forever! I got mine at some local dog boutiques as well as online at funnyfur.com
