Donating YT 4000 Club Member | ![]() It came up current because Keyra posted a new comment on an old thread which brought it back to the top. And for anyone thinking that it would be cute to let their little darling have " just one litter" please read this first. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/bre...t-breeder.html Even just one litter makes you a breeder.

| ![]() The puppies must have been really small if the mom was 4.5 pounds. How much do the puppies usually weigh at birth? |

| ![]() Hi, welcome to YorkieTalk. Puppies can vary greatly on their birth size. They could be as small as two ozs or as big a 8 ozs, give or take a little. It really depends on the parent's genetics and how many are in the litter. Puppies that come from a large litter tend to be smaller in size versus litters that consist of only 1 or two puppies.
