| new rescue yorkie I hope this isn't in the wrong place Forgive me if it is. Saturday I had happened to see an ad for free dogs in the paper, being the nosey redhead that I am I went to see. There was a 3 lb. male yorkie, running the yard, matted somewhat, so dirty and so cute... When I asked his name she heistated then said well well call him Little Man he really never was named. She had his AKC papers too !! he had to live outside they had at one time raised I don't know how many breeds of dogs, still had quite a few she was getting rid of but this was the only yorkie left, she said she sold the others. I took him home de matted what i could and bathed him. he slept in a bed for the first time i think in his life and follows me around like a shadow. i'll put pictures on when i can. Linda in E. | I haven't quite decided, lol thought I'd let him settle in and see what seems to fit since he doesn't answer to anything right now, but when I wiggle my fingers like come here, he comes!! What is funny to me is my girl yorkie Bella, loves my male chihuahua (he's fixed) but now this one looks more like her and she shows her teeth to him.. hopefully she will get used to him soon I had visions of the two of them piled up together sleeping but she sleeps with the boxer or the chihuahua lol... go figure Last edited by vaill; 01-11-2011 at 07:36 AM. |

| Well, first off...we need pictures and welcome to YT. My first Yorkie boy was named 'Little Man Tate'...which morphed into Taterbug, Bug, Buggaboo, Woolybooger and finally Booger or Boog. Woolybooger came into play because he used to walk under the edge of the kitchen cabinets and come out with dust on his head! If your new boy comes to Little Man maybe you could put something on the end that you want to eventually call him so he gets used to it but is still familiar with the name he has now. Did that make sense? |

| Yes it made sense, but he doesn't respond to Little Man, I really don't think they called him anything. |

| Congratulations to you and your baby! A perfect name will appear We found our little Yorkie abandoned and name him "Happy"! We picked a name we wanted him to "grow" into because he was in such horrible shape. Welcome and can't wait to see pictures |

| What a lucky "little man", and good for you for rescuing him. We recently "rescued" our first yorkie girl and added her to our three-dog home. I was happy to see another 4-dog home!
