My first Yorkie boy was named 'Little Man Tate'...which morphed into Taterbug, Bug, Buggaboo, Woolybooger and finally Booger or Boog. Woolybooger came into play because he used to walk under the edge of the kitchen cabinets and come out with dust on his head!
If your new boy comes to Little Man maybe you could put something on the end that you want to eventually call him so he gets used to it but is still familiar with the name he has now. Did that make sense?
