YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Pet Rescue: Vets Organize I read an article in the Toronto Star yesterday, about a specialized pet rescue, set up to temporarily care for the pets of woman who are abused. Apparently woman can be reluctant to leave an abusive situation, because they are concerned about how their pets will be treated. As all woman shelters can't take in the woman and the pet an organization run and manned by vets was created to temporarily shelter these pets, under the woman finds a permanent home. Some men threaten the dog/cat "if" the woman leaves. Just thought I'd put that out there, I had absolutely no idea such an organization existed. This is a wonderful option for woman who need to use it.

| This is such a great idea! Hopefully word will travel and more will become available... pets and children need special help during these stressful times. It's especially hard for kids to have to leave a beloved pet behind....
