| Awww how AWFUL! I couldn't imagine that. Of course, I would NEVER leave my doggers in the car while I'm no where in sight. I couldn't risk it! |

| This is a sad story...I don't understand why she didn't bring her baby into the mall with her...I have left my babies in the car, but only for brief periods. We usually put them in a carrier so others don't know we have dogs in the car. However, I leave them at home now because of all the stealing that's going on...Plus, they are safer and comfier at home I wish all stores would just allow people to bring their dogs in! Of course, except grocery stores... Do hope she gets her baby back though!!

| This is such a sad story..... But it reminds me of a time when I was on the way home from a Physical therapy session with Shelby after her surgery and I drank way too much coffee .... well, on the way home.... & I know that I am not the only one that goes thru this.. LOL... I had to stop at a gas station for a potty break. I put Shelby in her carrier and proceeded into the station... the attendant said Shelby wasn't allowed.... my response was..... "it is her & me or you'll be cleaning up PEE"! LOL... needless to say the attendant laughed and waved me in right direction!

| I hope she gets her dog back but at the same time I cannot believe that she would have left her dog in the mall parking lot. Way to many people roaming around. When Hot Rod was a puppy, I ran into the local petstore to get a water bottle for him which was literally 40 feet from the parking space and I had one eye on the car and the other paying for the bottle. I didn't want to unhook him and have him to shift him around from the carseat as the water bottle was the only thing I was going in there for. I felt guilty about leaving him in there for the minute and 1/2 that I was gone. Since then, if I can't take them in with me, I don't go or I leave them at home if I'm running errands.

| I really feel awful for this woman but I am sorry to say that no one should ever leave their fur babies in the car un attended. If I take the dogs with me one of the girls will stay with them and then it is only so I can run in and quickly get what I need. My babies are spoiled RIP Sophie Lynn Mommy loves and misses you |

| The problem is....that mall parking lot is known for car break in's...it's San Francisco. I wouldn't park my car there let alone leave my dogs in the car. There is hope. There was a lady in Alemeda(I think) who had her Maltese stolen out of her car ...there was a lot of news coverage...and the criminals gave her back. I hope the same is true for this lady

| I hope that you are not taking your little one to places that you need to keep her in the car.

| I live in the SF bay area and I know exactly which mall this happened at - Southland in Hayward, CA. DEFINITELY NOT A SAFE MALL, even for humans! But as everyone has said above, why did she even leave her furbaby in the car in the first place!!! There are so many dog-friendly malls in the SF bay area she could go to. I'm sure the owner realizes now that whatever she had to get at the mall was NOT worth losing her furbaby over. So sad, so sad... Bottom line, if you can't take your babies where you are going, they're safer at home, NEVER in a car.

| How horrible, stories like this break my heart. I hope that she is found. I am one of those who also do not leave my pups alone anywhere, at all, no matter how long. You have to think of the "Wallet Test". Whenever you think about leaving your pups alone anywhere, ask yourself, would I leave my wallet here by itself? If the answer is no, then why would you leave your most cherished possession? |

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | That is awfull. It is such a shame the world has devolved to such atrocious acts. My pups do travel in their crates, and I have left them in a car, if I'm going into Mac's. But then Razzle is surrounded by 2 very large dogs, but they are in their crates too. I wouldn't leave my dogs if I was going shopping in the car. In summer it is too hot, in winter it is too cold to leave unattended for more than a couple of minutes. I feel very sorry for this woman, and do hope she gets her pup back.
