I think they do, I have had chester since 8 wks and he is now 8 years and 4 months, and he loves his momma and I love this dog like nothing else in this world. I only work part time, I could not stand to work full time, I would miss him way to much

I have 2 babies. One I got at 6 weeks, a female, (yes I know that is too early) and the other I got at 4 years old, a male. It's kind of funny that the one I got at 6 weeks old is more independent than the one I got at 4 years old. Their favorite place is with me, on me, being held by me, sleeping with me. I wouldn't have it any other way.

I agree; the older they get the more attached we become. Now, at 7 and 9, I already worry what I will do when I outlive them.
