| Hello I just wanted to say hello to everyone. I joined forum today, got my yorkie 2 weeks ago. His name is Tolek and he is 7 months old. Still not house trained - but we are working on it.

| Welcome to YT. I noticed you stated after two weeks "still not housetrained". Please keep in mind that most yorkies are difficult to housetrain and it can take around a year or more to achieve the ultimate goal. Be patient, be consistent, and always be positive.

| Thanks. I am patient! I know that it is hard to housetrain yorkie, but I believe I will manage. I wanted to have yorkie for a long time - and I am so happy that at last I've got Tolek! He is adorable - and so hiper like a kid with ADHD.

| Welcome! I'm glad you and Tolek have found a new home here with us. You'll both make lots of friends. It will take longer than 2 weeks to train your pup. At times it will seem that they have gotten it and then a puddle will appear where you don't want it to be. You are right to be patient. I think it's a little easier to train them to go outside in the good weather. Calleigh is trained both in and outdoors. We have very cold winters here in NE and I'm happy she uses the wee wee pads in the winter. We don't like the cold. Good luck and keep in touch.

| Thank you for the nice welcome. I will post Tolek's pictures as soon as I figure out how to do it. It is hard to take good pics of him - he moves a lot!. Yes, I know it. But I bought him not from the breader or pet-store but from the person that had him for 4 months as a pet, she just didn't have time for him.
