They have so much sh*t in there, who'd care! And the bank ugh, forget it! We go to the local wells fargo all the time. I'm curious which theme parks? The animal park here in San Diego, CA, never had any problem w/Sprocket, though I do say he was in his stroller cause I didn't want to carry him for 3 hrs , but still. Your comment about being embarrassed IF you get MIGHT get asked to leave, just look at the clerk and if they are being nice, "OH, of course I will, I'll spend my $$$$, how ever much you were going to spend, atleast $100, at so and so's store, AND, OH BTW what is your mgr's name? So I can be sure and tell them how helpful you were". IF THEY ARE NICE. If not and quote the food thingy, demand to see THEIR health inspection grade letter, It has to be posted and every place that carries food has to be inspected and have a "letter" you know the "A,B,C" thing, it's the law. If it's their company policy and some are, ask to see a written copy. Make sure the store knows that you are responsible w/your dog and if they won't or can't let you in EVERYONE you know will know about the bad PR their gonna get, both in person and as here, on line, shop w/your $$, the economy is bad, this is the one reason I don't shop at Target, no dog. That food thing at Target is BS they wouldn't let Sprocket in BEFORE they had food. As you can tell by the info, sometimes I'm a pain in the bu**t. Smile sweetly, look them in the eye, show your teeth, they don't know your growling . OH and don't bite, it gives the dog a bad name, you are just the crazy dog lady, lol. P.S. DH thinks I need an intervention, shopping that is, not dog.

| Here in south Florida, you can take a dog just about anywhere...sometimes a place like Walmart or Target get fussy because they sell food...but nothing is ever said in the malls or nice places like Macy's, Bloomingdales..etc. |

| Ross! someone from YT called corporate and they said it's ok! Home depot has a sign now that says no dogs, but bf still takes Uni and puts her in a cart, they haven't kicked him out before. I've seen someone with a yorkie (not very friendly, the lady and the dog) in a cart at Joanns. So I took Uni once just to grab something, and she was in my purse. The cashier girl didn't look too impressed. I've not seen her since. Of course, any one who is local to me, can bring their dogs into my shop any day! we've had play days here!

| Thor's Human Donating Member | Thor loves to go into high end stores. Usually the sales staff is all female / gay male, so they go nuts for him. He's also figured out that people near cash registers often have dog treats, so he shamelessly begs. I think he believes that we go into those stores for him, not for me... he can get quite put out if I have a conversation that doesn't involve him getting fed or stroked.

| I guess my town is still small enough they know if they kick someone out they'll just say, "okay" and leave and go to their competitor, just easier to let people in --- with their well behaved dogs of course. I take mine grocery shopping (but not if I'm planning on handling the produce) just for quick shopping, dry goods, etc. I try to be respectful of what others may concern themselves with, like someone holding a dog and feeling the apples and onions. I only had one place that came up to me and said "Is that a service dog?" and I replied, "Do you think it is?" and he looked at me strange and I just went back to my shopping (Which was just to pick up a couple items quickly/in&out). Then he said, "Only service dogs are allowed in the store", to which I replied, "That's good to know." and made my way to the check out. He was new. I couldn't resist.

| Bailee is a shopper. I take him in my Kwigy Bo bag which looks like a purse. We have been in WalMart, book stores, J.C. Penney, Sams Club, Lowes, Bath & Body Works, Bed Bath and Beyond, Target, Cabela's and many others. So far, so good! It's a challenge to see just where I can take him without being asked to leave. I think I will try a grocery store this weekend. ![]()

| Oh yeah I forgot to say, Chick-fil-a has dog biscuits in the drive though. We even dined inside once and we had Uni with us and they asked if she wanted a biscuit. Mind you, these aren't biscuits "we" would feed our yorkies, but it was nice they offered.

| I'll be trying more places now that I have a stroller. Max and Lily are too big to get away with putting them in a bag. I was kicked out about a week ago from Starbucks. I had Lily in her bag and I wasn't planning on sitting inside. I wanted to order my coffee and sit outside. Still got kicked out...and rudely. I felt like I was the kid in the middle of the classroom being scolded for talking!

I don't consider myself as ever having been "kicked out". A few times people have nicely asked if Thor is a service dog, which is essentially the same thing, but it's always been courteous. There was a Mexican takeout place where this annoying little man asked me for Thor's "service tag #", which I now know is illegal. I never go to that place anymore. If you can't handle my dog, you can't handle my money either.

| This girl at Starbucks stopped what she was doing and looked at me in line and said "uh you can't have a dog in here. You're gonna have to go outside and have someone buy your drink for you or something" Imagine my expression..

| Hm! That's interesting about hobby lobby. I love that store, I'm gonna have to take Remy shopping for crafts! My hubby will just have to get over it. I need a good dog purse and stroller . He said he won't be seen with the stroller. We will see how this changes |

| I don't usually take my girls shopping here at home unless we're going to PetsMart or the bank (Chase) which I know allow them. When my girls vacation with us, we always have the stroller with us. I have found that many places that do not normally allow dogs will allow them in the stroller. I think perhaps itis because they aren't on the ground and there is no chance of them leaving a mess behind.
