| Pup Presents & Other Excitement We got the biggest kick out of watching our pups with their Christmas presents this year! Ben kept pulling his whole gift bag around the living room. I would show him he could go in and get the toy inside, but he just liked pulling the bag around by the handles. When he did finally get his Skineeze toy out, it was a long skunk (the kind with no stuffing). He was chewing on one end and along came Candy who grabbed the other end and proceded to pull Ben all around the living room. It was hilarious! Annie was having her own fun opening her first Christmas presents. We had to help her get into the bag and off she ran with her toy. Candy got this dog Furr Ballz™ Interactive Dog Toys - LTD Commodities It plays "Who Let the Dogs Out" while jiggling all over & jumping irradically. All 3 were afraid of it at first and then Candy finally got the idea it was a toy. She loves that thing! She keeps hiding it from the Yorkies now. All in all, they provided us with so much fun & laughter, I wish I had gotten them more! (They actually never got around to opening their fabric doghouse/beds but we decided to let that wait for another day). I didn't take any videos and I was having so much fun, I almost forgot the pictures but did take a few. I will try to download them tomorrow. I finally gave them all their bullies so they would settle down a bit when the rest of the family got here and we wanted to open people presents. What a day! Had another few moments of excitement when I took all of the dogs out for a potty break, including son & DIL's new dachshund, Lucy. She was thoroughly enjoying her first visit to grandma's house and investigated everything! I walked with them around the back yard & as we were heading back in, Lucy walked right into the pool! I was caught off guard & freaked out. I tried to reach for her but she started swimming to the opposite side. I went for the net, & then saw she was swimming toward the side. So I laid on my belly & extended hands to her. She swam into my arms & I whisked her inside where we dried her & then blow-dried to warm her. We have had some chilly days here in FL so that water was COLD! I felt so horrible to have let it happen. One minute she was walking on the sidewalk & the next she went straight into the water like she thought she could walk across it! Poor little thing! I guess I was thinking like it was one of mine who are used to the pool. Taught me a good lesson on how quickly something like that can happen! None of mine have ever done that before. How about everyone else? Funny stories about your pups and their presents? Would love to hear them! Hopefully no other bad excitement episodes on Christmas day! BTW Lucy is fine now -- all warmed up & given some turkey tidbits for her ordeal.

| What a cute story. I'm in the process of uploading my video of the boys ripping apart their gifts. Somehow they knew to get right through the paper and go for the toy. It's amazing how with each gift they did that and then grabbed the toy and immediately played! My boys love the Skineeeze toys too and do the same thing yours do. I get them at Walmart or $9.95. They certainly last forever. My only funny story is that I threw one of their gifts out onto the living room floor for them to open. Well, it so happens that they opened a set of slippers that I was giving to someone else as a gift! Oops! Very glad Lucy is ok.

I got the Skineeze on a REALLY good deal -- 2 in a package for $5.95 at Ltd Commodities. Actually they may be generic but they look just like the $9.95 each ones and are super soft. Set of 2 Stuffing-Free Dog Toys - LTD Commodities They have several amazing deals on their site. They shipped very fast too.

| Oh gosh reading your post made me feel like I was a mean mom to my three. I sat them down the other day and told then since they have been spending all my money at the vet this month they were not getting xmas presents. I did buy them snoozers for the car and they were comfy for our road trip today but like all kids, I think they just wanted toys!

| I am glad Lucy was okay. It sounds like your group had a great Christmas. Tinkerbell got the squirrel hide toy and I got some video of her playing with it. If I ever figure out how to edit it I will post it. |

| My yorkie Suzi, and Shih tzu Miely, had their own christmas stockings stuffed with new toys and Bully sticks. I was not too sure on wrapping them so I took a toy out one at a time and watched who grabbed the toys first. Suzi went straight for the stuffed duckie, and ran away with it in her mouth. I watched her and hoped she new that it was not a real duck... I think they were oeverwhelmed by all the toys, but I new they were sooo happy. When I got to the Big chewy Bully sticks the toys were left , and they both took one and chewed on them the rest of the day. Their still are toys in the family room scattered all over the place. They had so much fun! I am so glad you were there when Lucy fell into the pool. I would have so scared.
