| Question on baths Hi I am sorta new. We have a baby that is about a year and half. We need to give her a bath but not sure what to use. We were taking her and getting her groomed but can't do that again until March. So I would like to do what I can myself. We love her to pieces. Also what do ya'll feed yours? She is so spoiled by the previous owners. They only feed her wet food. I was told that that isn't good for them and need dry. So I mix dry with her wet food. I use a dry that has flax seed and healthy stuff in it. But the wet I usually get the Caesar one. This is our first yorkie and We love her. Had her since July and she is so part of the family that we can't imagine life without her. Sorry for all the questions. She is very spoiled with us too. LOL Sharon |

| Welcome to YT! You will find out lots of info here. I give Jackson a bath weekly (sometimes once every 2 weeks). I use Minksheen (order it online) and BioGroom. Wet food being bad for teeth is just a myth... kibble doesn't really help keep tarter away any more than a cracker or a chip keeps our teeth clean. Most vets will advise brushing, dentals, etc to upkeep with their teeth. I brush once a week and use Petzlife (but I probably should be brushing his teeth every day). I feed Orijen and Acana kibble, both made by the same company (Champion) and mix in some wet food as well. Good luck, welcome to YT.

| Welcome to YT! Levi gets a bath on average once a week. We use Nootie shampoo for baths and Nootie spray-in between baths. He has medium-length hair and gets brushed out once a day. Grooms are every few months as needed. He eats Orijen Adult kibble, sometimes mixed with a little bit of wet food (Wellness Core).

| We give Rylie a bath once every 1 week, 1.5 weeks, or a max of 2 weeks (depending on her dirt level/skin quality). We use Espree products, which are conveniently available at Petco (which I like because I didn't want to order online) and they are working awesome! |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Hi & welcome to YT! I bathe my 3 on an as-needed basis, which is usually bi-weekly in the summer, and maybe every 2 1/2 weeks in the colder months. There are alot of shampoos/conditioners that I like, with a few of my favorites being: Yorkie Splash and Shine, Nootie, Petsilk, and the Paul Mitchell products. The first two are offered by YT vendors, I included their links. If you have friend who can purchase from a beauty supply, the Paul Mitchell products can be picked up very cheaply! I feed my pups Wellness Core, but the light variety, and every now and then mix in some Merrick Before Grain Chicken formula. The only advice I have about food is this: Baxter developed kidney stones, and has to have them removed. My vet recommends feeding dry kibble only, as this will make the pup drink more water. There is much moisture in canned food, which causes them to drink less. Before this happened, I fed them about 1/2 canned & 1/2 kibble. It took a little while for them to adjust to just dry, but they are fine now! |

| Welcome to YT, and to being owned and operated by a Yorkie!!! It is not hard to spoil them is it??teehee!! We usually bathe every 7 to 10 days here, and less in the winter when they are not outside as often and it is dry here. I LOVE Espree Shampoos and in the winter especially, i use the Luxery remoistering conditioner to keep their coats looking and feeling healthy. You can find some of the Espree shampoos at Petco. Or online

| Scooter had very bad dry skin and the vet told me it was because I was bathing him to much. She said once a month is all they should be bathed and she told me to try and oatmeal based shampoo and conditioner and I did and Scooters coat is beautiful and silky now. The vet also told me to try salmon oil on his dry puppy chow and I do that too. My babies are spoiled RIP Sophie Lynn Mommy loves and misses you |
