Yes. They are very affectionate in that manner. They are little lovebugs. Also, I always use baby shampoo on their faces to prevent anything burning their eyes. I've always bathed once a week at a minimum. Mine could never last longer.
Also, be sure to completely rinse out any shampoo. That is a good way to avoid itching. Also, I have found that a lot of groomers' shampoo causes mine to itch. I prefer to use my own and whatever works better for her. Sometimes groomers do not use the best quality shampoos. It is good to use a good conditioner as well on dry skin and coats.
