Great job! I got caught up in one of these scams also when I first started looking for my little guy. It took me a couple of emails to figure it out and then I strung them along for a couple of days until I frustrated the person and they figured out I was on to them. I kept the emails and called the police but they weren't too interested in doing anything about it. I guess now with the internet, scams are commonplace. Good on you to post this so others are also aware of these hateful people. |
I see you've been very busy, Jodi.:D |

Most scams to me seem so obvious, glad this lady was exposed, but how could anyone send money insecurely anyways? No matter whom you are dealing with in any situation never, not have a sales contract (read it closely or you might be in my shoes) send money securely where you have protection, if in person and pay cash, get a receipt if it is not included in the contract. Always save all correspondence! I wish I hadn't had so many phone calls between the breeder I got my Elvis from-she was apparently very smart in scamming people she made certain comment in writing and "clarified" and made others when we spoke on the phone-I thought nothing of it until it was too late...it stinks adopting a puppy is such a sales situation but it is...buyer beware and sellers apparently too. Common sense should weed out most-but wow how some things are sneaky and slippery! Back to this situation-it's just icky she prayer on perhaps naive people about the adoption process etc...I hate how people rely on the hopes and emotional overload of others to sneak in a scam-I hope Santa leaves lady some coal, and YT removes her! |
thx for posting this! but i've never heard of her before.... |
That was great, I loved it!! I loved the part when you told them you were on the road heading their way and they started freaking out!! Can you just imagine the panic on their face:p And wow I didn't know they had a shot or vaccine called AKC.:p Years ago before I got my first yorkie I almost got scammed. Even talked on the phone with them. They said they were in Cameroon but it didn't feel right and I wasn't comfortable with an out of country dog. I'm so glad I went with my instincts. I sure have learned a lot since then. |
LOL great job jodi! This is going down in YT history! |

The Cameroon one is very popular on the AJC website. The really funny thing is that these scammers will even use pictures of the same dog with multiple screen names. Kind of obvious. |

2 Attachment(s) Does anyone want to see the puppy that broke Morgan's heart? These are the pictures that Morgan clung sobbing while sitting on the side of the road in Omaho, Nebraska :( |

Her YT name is different than what was used in the emails. |
