I'm so glad you were there when that boy was doing that to the dog and I'm so glad you made a new friend and Major will be alright. I feel bad for the child too, since it's obvious his parents are losers. I hope him and his siblings now get the love and help they need.

OH MY GOSH! they need to do something about that kid. I know he is mentally challenged but they can't have him breaking into houses and stealing dogs! and the poor dog! good thing his owner came. if it weren't for you, that dog could be dead. I know you're sad, and i would be too, but you should also be proud of yourself.

She told the police that there was a mentally challanged boy living across the street from her and he's broken into homes and took their dogs. Then let them go. Blocks away from where they lived. The police took the lady and the dog to a animal hospital and then went to the address of the boy.
Thats all I know right now I'll post more as I find out.

How HORRIBLE! Thank GOD you heard that yelp and saved that poor dog!

The boy may be mentally challenged, but his PARENTS need to keep a better eye on him, then, and I am speaking as the parent of a special-needs child here.

I hope Karen gets to rescue a dog because she would make a good mom to a homeless pet, and I hope she joins YT so she can see how great you people really are.

Oh my goodness...Major is ALL she had and she could have lost him. I say "HAD", because she now has YOU as her new friend!

i'm so glad you jumped in and did what you did. what a ripple effect of good that came from it. those kids will find homes of people that really can love them for Christmas and the dog is safe and you made a friend of a lonely lady...what a great story for Christmas time...good job!! Wow, what an ordeal. I'm so glad you were there to help this poor little doggie. I'm sure you have made a life long friend from this. how sad she lost her husband and her daughter. You did a good job, you are a hero!

Well this has been one hell of a week so far. After yesterday I thought nothing else strange can happen to me. But No there was more in store. Today my friend and I went shopping at Walgreens. There was a bunch of people standing around this box. Part of me said, just go into the store and mind your own business. The other part of me had to know what was going on. So we went over to see the excitement. Guess what? Somebody had abandoned four puppies. Just left them on the side of the store and took off. Well three of the other people took the puppies and my friend and I ended up with what I think of is a Shih tsu male puppy. I don't know how old he is but he's very young. He must have been weened because he ate the food we gave him and drank water. We named him Oliver. He's really cute a fat little roly poly. We have a vet appointment tomorrow to find out how old he is and if he's a full breed shih tsu. Not that it matters because we love him already. Now we have a full house three girls and two boys. . I'll post photos soon. Boy what a week.

Oh my...you have had a week, bless you! Some people are so disgraceful but I guess it was better than dumping the pups elsewhere. At least if good people got the pups they will have nice homes now instead of being in a shelter.

So, is your friend keeping the little guy or are you? And how is Major doing today?

Wow! You are playing Doggie Guardian Angel this week. I would have taken him home with me too. I can't stand people who dump animals off. I think they need to be dumped off somewhere to see how it feels. I know that sounds awful but maybe a few days of experiencing it will make them think twice about doing it. Every cat I have ever ended up with was dumped off on me! Why are people so heartless!? Bless you for being so kind hearted.
