Clowns have always been just "wrong" to me too. My youngest son was always afraid of them. We made him go up and get his own balloon animal from the clown at a craft show -- he came back, pale & shaking! I had not realized just how scared he was of the clown or how much he must have wanted that balloon animal. After that -- we got the balloon for him. I missed the oompa loompas but one look tells me they would have scared me to -- either color version! Why do we scare kids like this? Love the OP's story about her yorkie shaking & barking at the ASPCA ad. I think she is saying -- "Mom, help those poor dogs!"

| Lane will growl at the TV if we've paused it on a head shot of someone who appears to be looking at the room (hope that makes sense). It usually takes her awhile to notice, but she'll kind of pop her head up and start with a slow growl under her breath from the sofa, and I guess when the face doesn't cower in fear of her viciousness she runs up to the TV growling and barking full force

| That is so funny! I hope you are able to record it next time... Khloe barks at any animal on the tv... She thinks they are in her house and she's not fond of them. Several times, she's gone behind the tv barking trying to get to them.

| My cavalier regularly watches TV. He HATES anything that is not "right"...all arguing, fighting, even seems to pick up on major injustices. Also really gets upset over things that aren't normal...like people upside down, talking mops...that kind of thing. He also goes nuts over horses and african americans. (We are very embarassed about this...clearly we need to seek out more diversity in our visiting friends The two commercials he goes balistic over are the one where the gerbils dressed in sweatshirts drive that boxy car, and the one with the hot black guy riding a horse backwards on the beach.

| Too funny.......I have the Oompa Lumpa jingle for my txt messages on my BB. Everyone always loves it. Once while at a wedding shower my phone went off and everyone wanted it sent to them. LoL

| I had a poodle that hated the Aflac duck. She also hated Saddam Hussein. This was around the time that we found Saddam Hussein in the worm hole. Every time it came on she went crazy. There was also a commercial that had a dog walk through at the very end. As soon as she heard the music at the beginning of the commercial she would run to the TV and start barking. We didn't get to watch much Animal Planet either. |

| Ok my babies bark and growl at the tv when it is OFF!!! They see themselves in the screen. Haha I put a little santa shelf sitter in front of the tv on the table and all of a sudden Wally starts growling and being all scared. They are too much. I love coming to the rescue!

I totally agree, I have no "incident" to relate my unrealistic fear to but I'm sorry, clowns just weird me out and I think they are all around creepy...no one smiles that much without trying to hide something, let alone someone who has to paints one on (j/k but they are seriously creepy)... | hehe I don't know what oompa loompa is...had to google it...and it's a creepy looking man. HA! No wonder she's scared!! She sounds so CUTE!! My dogs only respond to barking when they hear door bells in movies/dramas.
