Clowns have always been just "wrong" to me too. My youngest son was always afraid of them. We made him go up and get his own balloon animal from the clown at a craft show -- he came back, pale & shaking! I had not realized just how scared he was of the clown or how much he must have wanted that balloon animal. After that -- we got the balloon for him.
I missed the oompa loompas but one look tells me they would have scared me to -- either color version!
Why do we scare kids like this?
Love the OP's story about her yorkie shaking & barking at the ASPCA ad. I think she is saying -- "Mom, help those poor dogs!" |
Milo was actually marching imitating the Oompa guys! He was semi confused about why water made the witch melt. Dad read him Rumpelstiltskin for a bed time story though about two weeks ago...that was fun he woke up twice with nightmares....then telling his first grade teacher about the guy that tried to steal a lady's baby and no one knew his name...oh the joy of 10 minute talk with a teacher after school and a an hour lecture with Dad after dinner on his choice in reading material!
I totally agree, I have no "incident" to relate my unrealistic fear to but I'm sorry, clowns just weird me out and I think they are all around creepy...no one smiles that much without trying to hide something, let alone someone who has to paints one on (j/k but they are seriously creepy)...

Anyone else watch HGTV and have their dogs freak out on the door bell on there every time the show changes?
