So sorry, glad everything is okay. It's times like this that make us realize how fragile our babies can be and how quickly tragedy can strike, even if you absolutely safety proof everything something as common as holding your baby can become a danger in a split second. I hope you don't feel bad at all about it-accidents happen, there is nothing that could have been done to avoid it. Really glad I read your post and go to see the pics of your fur babies they are so adorable I love the short cut with the wispy ears that is too cute!

How scary!! I'm glad to hear that he ended up being fine, but I totally understand that feeling :(

We were at the dog park a few months ago, and Khloe got ran over by a bigger dog. She was on her back yelping and writhing in pain. I was sure she had broken her back, so I picked her up and ran out of the park. When we got out of the park, I decided to set her down to see if she was okay, and she was fine... Luckily she was not hurt. Things can happen so quickly...

Give Hot Rod kisses for me... He's one tough cookie!

I was petrified of hurting Hot Rod when he came home to us as he was only 1.57 lbs. I thought for sure I would break him. :rolleyes: He's 5.3 lbs now and it still worries me that he's so fragile.

So glad everything turned out okay. Don't you just love how we are so emotional and our hubbies are just so down-to-earth, matter of fact? When I spoke with my husband, I remember trying to tell him what happened between sobs and he was like, "he's fine, he's fine". That's a good thing they are on such an even keel though...it would be useless if they would fell apart too. :D

Thanks, it was really scarey and something that I don't ever want to experience again as I know Hot Rod doesn't either!

I would have been a basket case! I know when Hot Rod was a baby I was so scared to pick him up. I can't imagine if he'd a taken a fall...I would probably have had a heart attack. So glad she was okay.

Thank God he's ok!

My puppy is 4 months and she squirmed out of my mom's arms last week while my mom was standing and hit the floor. I wasn't home which is good bc I would have freaked out. I lectured my mom about having a firm grip on her at all times. These puppies are too fearless at times!

You and me both! This was about the most horrible thing that I could even imagine. Hopefully, he and I both learned from this and will not go thru something close to this ever again!

I remember when Jackson was a little pup, he was probably still only around 5lbs, I did basically the same thing but did not cause such a huge reaction. I was holding him when he decided to leap and he fell sooo hard on the floor, and he did a really loud yelp like five times in a row. I looked him all over, called the vet and all, and he was fine within 2 minutes and back to himself, but oh my how guilty I felt!
Awww, poor Jackson, so glad this didn't keep him from being the action packed Jackson we all know and love. :D

I too dropped Uni when she was about 4 months. it was while she was still going thru potty training, and I would get up several times during the night. I bet you were scared...it's so easy for something to happen to these babies. So glad Uni is all better now. :)

Awww, poor wittle Betty Boop! Glad that everything worked out. At least hardwood floors are less hard than tile. I bet that moment you were waiting for her to move seemed to take forevvvvver.

I'm glad he is ok. It's terrible when something like that happens. It's not something you ever forget or really get over.

Oh :( that story was making me sick. I wanted to just skip to the end and find out he was okay. I am so glad everything ended well and ((hugs)) to you for having such an experience.

He even had a kiss for him mama, so no worry about hard feelings there ;)

So glad Hot rod is ok. The same thing happened to me about a week ago. Wyatt jumped from my arms and went flat on his back on the hardwood Floor. I think I was crying before he hit the floor. I was sure he had broken his back or neck. He jumped up and ran to the living room and I knew we had avoided a tragedy. It can happen so quickly to anyone no matter how careful you are.

Oh my goodness, thank goodness Hot Rod is okay - these little guys are so slippery sometimes. Give him a hug and a kiss for me and maybe a hug for yourself.
