| What to do ? I have a little female yorkie who is nearly three years old. She still behaves like a baby.. I groom her , try to make her pretty, as soon as her hair is brushed and her bangs are out of her face , she goes straight to the couch and rubs her body all over and messes up her bangs , tries real hard to get the small hair band out , letting her hair hang in her eyes and her back hair stands straight up and messy , as soon as she can. She still bites and tears holes in our blankets too. Tries to hump on the couch and blankets. I can tell her to get off the couch, or say NO to her and she will listen for about 60 seconds. She prefers to listen to my son or brother much better then I. My 17 year old now has ended up guiding her in the right direction , because she does better with him. I love her so much , but she can be so frustrating! She is very smart , yet such a hanful! When I do give both my girls a bully stick , she "steals" the other bone and then just has both bones right next to her happily chewing on one, or she hides one bone , and nobody can find it. I know dos can't be selfish, but it looks like it . The other dog is a shih tzu who is passive . At first it was kind of funny to watch her when she grabs the other bully stick , but now my other dog has nothing when i know she wants one too. I guess it is like Suzi is a bit of a brat. Any ideas on how to stop some of her annoying behaviors?

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | Some dogs just don't like the longer hair and top knots. the rubber band can't bother their heads and/or make them uncomfortable so they try to take it out. Personally if she were mine, and after three years still hasn't learned to tolerate the top knot and longer hair, I'd do us both a favor and clip her shorter all over. Give her a nice short puppy cut with a short round head. You'll both be happier for it. Have you tried bitter apple or a chew deterent to stop her from chewing holes in the blankets? Bitter apple helped stop Morgan from chewing on things she wasn't suppose to. Also I kept everything I didn't want her to touch in a higher place so she couldn't reach them. I never had a problem with her humping things but if i did i would have just taken away the item she favored be it a favorite toy, bed, or blanket. Can she jump up on the couch or do you have stairs for her? If you have stairs, just take them away from the couch so she can't get up there unless you let her. If she is a jumper then try pennies in a can, or something to distract her from doing an unwanted behavior and then redirect her to something else. Only give bully sticks or high value items to the girls when you can supervise them. Give Suzie her's first, then give the other pup hers. As soon as Suzie makes an attempt to steal the other bully stick you need to stop her and redirect her back to her own bully. If she continues to try to steal from the other pup then take both bully sticks away and don't give them back until you are ready to try again later. She needs to learn that if she tries to take both bully sticks then she gets nothing, but if she just chews on her own then they both get to keep them. Or you can separate the two of them with a baby gate or ex-pen when its treat time.

| Thank you for your suggestions. I did decide to trim the longer hair on top of her face , and she looks so much better, not a "sheep dog" anymore . LOL . I don't know if I want to cut her hair into a puppy cut , but, I also applied more de tangelr spray , hoping this helps her not to matt up . Her hair is still changing colors , the top of her hair was getting to be a pretty light golden color . She is very good at getting groomed , just not the after it is done look. i need to be more on top of rules and stricter to avoid some of these issues, I see that now.

Always stay on top of the rules no matter what the age. If they see you slipping in any way they will try to take advantage if they want to. Its just in their nature.

I keep her hair like Patti's pixie, long everywhere but the topnot area and its cute on her and if something happens I do want to put a topknot in her I put one in the hair behind the topknot area and it works for me

| Suzi is a lot happier with her bags cut. Glad I did it , and i am going to brush her everyday using a detangler . Try to let her get use to it , without such a fuss afterwards. I am going to have to be more stern with her regarding those other unwated behavoirs . It is so true that these litle yorkie's are too smart for their own good.
