| Hi! Welcome to YT!!! Are you going to create her? You can get her a bed for your room. They really like to sleep with you in your bed. You need to come up with a plan on where she will sleep. Keeping her safe is the most important thing. It will take time for her to adjust. Watch out for the stairs. Good Luck!!!

| I have found that the most peacefull way to do it is crate training.. I put Tucker in his crate the first night and he did great. He cried for like 30 seconds. He had in his crate a bed, a large stuffed animal which he cuddled with and a small clock that ticks so he wouldn't feel alone. i turned the lights off with a little night light and he slept all night. I did put a potty pad in one end so in case he couldn't hold it but he did. That way I did not worry about him being rolled over on or messing in the bed..I got a good nights sleep and have every night since we brought him home. A schedule is the most important thing..Good Luck!! |

| I would also suggest putting your baby in a crate at first. Maggie absolutely hated it..but it's the best thing when they're that young. she would cry non-stop until i was lying RIGHT next to the cage with my fingers in it. I had to build a contraption that i put the cage on so it was right next to my face when i slept in my bed. I know it sounds crazy, but it broke my heart everytime she cried for me at night. It eventually got better.. and then she started sleeping with me. That's where they're most comfortable. Also, if your new puppy gets use to the crate it's almost a given that it will help emensley with the house training. Once they realize that the crate is their home and they have to stay in there occasionally, they'll refuse to pee in it. That way, as soon as you take them out you can go directly outside and they'll go!

| well....this is a hard one....I for one cant stand to let my baby cry...and boy when he is left alone does he cry, so the first night we got him, he fell off the bed...so me and my boyfriend resorted to sleeping on the floor. Well this past Tueaday my boyfriend went out of town and I put Dollar on the bed with me and he did fine there....it too a couple of days, but now I think he is doing good. He barks when he wants down for food or to potty, and then barks to get back up.....so i am wondering now that Marty is coming back home today, what he will say about all three of us in the bed....hehehe
