It was many years ago and I know there is not anything funny about this subject..but after repeating it to so many friends, it got to be joke on me. Friends would ask me to tell the " weirdo story"..which one...I have met so many in my years of breeding dogs? LOL She wanted to see the sire and asked if she could hold him..sure, nothing wrong in that question. Could she buy the sire instead of the puppy? I have had that question asked dozens of times. Would the puppy get excited when she came into the room? again normal. Some people do not want one who gets excited and pees or jumps on them or visitors. On and on, perfectly normal questions...then she asked if "her scent" would get him excited?"..HUH? Maybe I misunderstood her and I joked..Yes, if you smell like bacon! That is when I asked what she was actually looking for in a companion? BINGO, there was no doubt anymore...

I don't know what she exactly told you... but it seems that she was honest and direct at least.... I am sure some sick people don't say "whatever it was that suprised you" when they talk to a breeder.

Ok, could it have been a joke or a prank call? What did you tell that woman? I have heard so much stuff that it is unbelieveable.. My husband is a cop also, and not to long ago, this woman called the police to report that she was looking for her english bulldog and she thought maybe HE got back inside without her knowing it so she went upstairs to check her bedroom where he slept and noticed something out the window.. The neighbors had a privacy fence and so she couldn't see from outside but from her window, she saw the neighbors 14yr old son doing you know what with her poor dog..When my husband arrived, he caught him in the act when he walked into the backyard.. He arrested him for animal cruelty and something else but I can't remember..I swear my husband didn't eat for 2 days....What makes people that sick???? I could tell you more stories but that would just ruin everyones day..Animals should be loved...not made love to..

I have openned a can of rotten worms...I do not know how old some of our members are, I hope I have not introduced something so perverted into your sweet minds. Unfortunately, I have lived so long, NOTHING surprises me. There is a wolrd full of people who do awful things to the innocent, tiny babies and animals of every kind..even puppies.. This sick woman could have been all talk and no doubt talking about it was a turn on for her..maybe she would not actually followed through..it was bad enough just calling. My husband was a policeman for 28 yrs...like Amanda's post, what people do is beyond understanding and there are many stories I wish I had never heard. My husband hasn't eaten crabs for 30 yrs and giving up Maryland crabs was not an option for me, but that is another story.

Crabs... It is not that kind of story!! LOL It might make you sick so I am issuing a BIG WARNING............. My husband came home and asked me would anything make me stop eating crabs..NO, way I told him. He said he would never again eat them because earlier in the day he found a dead body by the waters edge and the man was covered with crabs having lunch..his face was eaten off.. ears, etc.. I was so dumb, I asked him why crabs would do that..until that day I did not realize crabs were just like vultures and buzzards...scavengers. They eat dead things, a rat, dog or even a human dies within their feeding areas and they a tasty meal. So when I order crabs , Bill says, you could be eating someones Grandfather for all you know...I still can't turn away a soft shell crab at the beginning of the season..LOL
