strange night

I have six Chihuahua's and out of those six only one of them has an issue like that but once in a while I will suddenly notice the absence of Giacomo. When I find him he is usually sitting in a corner somewhere acting very timid and trembling. He doesn't have a seizure or anything he just acts like he is terrified. None of the other Chihuahua's or Bella the Yorkie appear to act any differently so whatever it is bothers only Giacomo. I agree with the Boopster about how to react. I don't want to reinforce the behavior so I just pretend I don't notice and continue with what I am doing. If he wants or needs me I allow him to come to me. At some point he tends to come around and bounce back to normal.
So far I haven't been able to pin point any activity that triggers it. In fact the other day my hubby and I were saying "maybe he see's ghosties"

Roxie will fly off the bed and run into her crate every time I sneeze. She gets so freaked out. She won't come back on the bed for at least an hour. So it could be some noise freaked him out for awhile.

Oh my gosh, I am sorry, but I read this and started laughing. If my little ones did that, I'd never see them during MY allergy season.

I know it is so funny. My dtr has allergies and sneezes a lot, but Roxie only does it when I sneeze.

Lol pnut is scared of alot of things, but i am glad he isnt scared of sneezes!

Did you use a timer? I know some of my dogs freak out over the fire alarm.

This is not the first time this has happened. Sometimes if a water bottle cracks by it self he will act the same way... is pnut a real scaredy cat? Is anyone else's yorkie have these strange moods??

Buster has these strange moods almost daily. He is afraid of his own shadow. If a water bottle cracks, it scares him to death. He hides in my closet a lot. I don't know what to do for the little guy. I have him on Anxitane S but it hasn't helped him very much, he's been on it for almost two months. At this point I will take any suggestions.

Awe buster sounds like pnut! He is scared of the bottle cracking, finger flickings, and more things i cant remember. I feel horrible when i find him shaking in the corner, but nothing i do helps him, i feel so bad. He is my baby and i just want to comfort him. I know you should ignore that behavoir but its hard when they are that scared.
