| My puppy chewing his we-wee pad...help! Our little Gizmo starts chewing his disposable we-wee pad. He was doing good making pee & poop there. Until one day, he had little pieces of cottons from the pad in his mouth and all around it. I was afraid that he might choke on it that I bought the washable pads. Yap, he could not chew on it but he also does not want to go there anymore ( even if I sprayed it with the we-wee aid). Now he goes on his bed which I have to wash all the time. Can anybody help me please. We are first time puppy owner and he is 14 weeks old baby boy. Thank you |

YT Addict | You can buy holders that go around it so he can't rip it. Like this one Premium Pad Training Tray - Training - Training & Behavior - PetSmart This isn't the cheapest one you could find, but it's the first one I ran across. EDIT: Oh and I forgot to say, Welcome to YT!

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | I use that holder and it works quite well. Tallulah doesn't chew on "fabric" textured things except for my clothes while I'm in them but she does like to grab the edges of things like that and pull them around. She can't do that with the pad holder. You might also try spraying the edges of the pads, where your dog is likely to grab them, with bitter apple. So far it has been pretty effective at discouraging T from chewing on "forbidden" things. I actually tried it on my clothes but I could actually taste the bitter "ick" from a couple of feet away. |

| When I read the title, I did not see the word "PAD" |

| I have that pad holder too, and it works great. Chase would tear them up as a puppy too, if they weren't quilted. That's the only kind I buy now. |

| When you catch him doing this tell him a firm "NO" try to redirect him with some toy or some treat to get him in another part of the house and keep him occupied for a couple of minutes so he will forget it. You should see results in a couple of days if you can catch him on act a few times Maria |
