| How does your yorkie greet you? I don't know if there has ever been a thread like this, but I was just curious how your yorkie greets you when you get home? I will share how Louis greets me. He looks out the window for me, then as soon as he sees me pulling into the driveway I see him run from the window and then reappears a few seconds later looking at the window with one of his toys in his mouth. Then he runs over to greet me by the door with the toy in his mouth. He doesn't want me to play fetch, he justs wants me to love on him. I think it is so funny. Today I was bringing in groceries and he did this over and over while I made about 10 trips to the car bringing the groceries in.

| The two big ones have a run at me and plan a full contact body slam and knock me down. The second two then move in with a tongue lashing! I love coming home! Mine will body slam all the grocery bags too!

| Pnut will hear me pull up and he will be in the window, then as i open the door he is on two feet jumping up and down and wanting love. Or i dont see him in the window and i open the door and he is yawning on the couch and he streches over to see me. Haaah

| Ha, Jackson does a similar thing. He sits in the window while I am gone usually, and even when I'm home... I always know when someone is pulling up our long driveway because he starts whining and runs to the door! But anyways, when I get home, he's pretty much ALWAYS at the door. He gets sooo excited, jumping up and down, and giving me kisses (and he doesn't give a lot of kisses!) If, for some reason, he didn't see me pulling up, he is usually in my bedroom and comes running out!

| Bella greets me at the door barting and whining (she has bad separation anxiety), that li'l tail going 90 miles pre hour...I quickly go to the sofa were I try to calm her down and I get tons of puppy dog kisses than she grabs her leash and brings it to me to go outside (which we don't need cause my yard is fenced in) but thats how she tells me she has to go out

| Mylee is always just inside the door and when I walk in she starts spinning circles and wiggling all over the place all while making a whining noise and giving me the "what for" for being gone in the first place. 5 minutes, you'd think was 5 hours for her, while Moka quietly stands back a little bit. When Mylee is done with her tantrum, Moka brings me a toy. It is like a payment. She hands it to me and then I am supposed to feed her in return. LOL

| Mine are in the kitchen window seat when I leave, looking so sad that they can't come too. When I return, they are always in that window looking out for me. How do they do that? I know they are all over the house, as the evidence is often there. Toys scattered, a tissue shredded, etc... But when I come home, they are always at the window. I think they can hear my car from far away or something. When I walk up the steps, they jump down from the window seat and rush to the door, where they make bringing in groceries almost impossible. I have learned to bring in one little thing the first trip, so we can do all of the greeting without dropping things. They jump, stand on hind legs, and generally all 3 are vieing for my attention at once. I just get down with them, give them each some loving and they are good to go. I can bring the rest in without the hullabaloo. I love coming home too! Forgot to add -- if I decide to walk out to the mail box instead of coming straight in the house, they all three start barking like crazy. I think they are trying to tell me, "Over here, mom, you are going the wrong way!"

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | When I get home from work, my niece has picked up Tallulah from Yorkie camp, played with her a bit, and left her safely in her crate. She hates to be alone for even a few seconds, so I will hear her wailing like a banshee as I approach the house. When I open the back door, the alarm gives a beep - she has already learned that the beep means someone is coming or going, and goes silent. The whole time I'm approaching her crate and opening it, she is absolutely silent and sitting at attention. Once I finally put my hands on her, she turns into the most wiggly little thing you ever saw and I get Yorkie kisses wherever she can reach. It's reached the point that I sit on the floor in front of her crate before I open it so she can't get hurt jumping on me or wiggling out of my hands. She doesn't mind at all being in the crate if someone's in the room with her -- it's just being left alone that makes her unhappy and we're trying to work on that. I'm looking forward to the day that I can give her more freedom in the house and she can meet me at the back door when I come home! |
