| ![]() Not a good place. Sorry OP about your crappy situation with these "greeders." At least now you know, and will be more aware when you decide to add to your family again, or when a friend or relative wants to get a puppy, you can show them the right way. Good luck with your new puppy.

| ![]() I'm confused. According to that report, the website had been shut down and inactive. I clicked and it seemed to be up and running. They had 13 dams and 8 puppies for sale. ![]()

| ![]() I agree with you Stowelinda, not everybody, who is not familiar with the Dog World, has heard of or is aware of puppy mills. I have had Yorkie's for almost 20 years and for the first few years, I had not heard of puppy mills. My first Yorkie, Merlin, was from a pet store, whose owner had her own Yorkie a 2.5lb little girl- in the store all the time. She seemed healthy and happy. The owner swore that she got her dogs from legitimate breeders, and I, not knowing what I did not know, got Merlin from this woman. Merlin lived for nearly 17 years and was the love of my life. He had congenital problems like collapsed trachea, and luxating patella. I loved him from the moment I saw him-but I didn't get that he was probably from a puppy mill until much later, when I started hearing about such things. So it is VERY possible that people could not even conceive of such evil, until they find out somewhere down the road, the hard way. When I found out, I was in such shock, that I cried for days, and was sick for days. If you don't know, when you find out, and you see the pictures, it can BLOW YOU AWAY. All we can do is get the word out whenever we can. That is the only way to stop it! |

Yorkie Talker | ![]() This place is still up and running, we were just at the place in May. The place is like a palace from the outside and quite stunning on the inside, at least the entry way was just beautiful. That's as far as we got. They brought the puppy out and it was a chubby ball of fur with a baby doll face. Love at first site. You could not hear any barking or noise at all as I would expect with that many dogs. I just hate for people to get away with this. People are very shrewd when it comes to ripping people off. I am from an era where a handshake sealed a deal and it was an honest agreement. Guess I better turn up my shady deal detector a few notches. :-) Anyway, I think this forum has a group of really fine folks on it and I enjoy talking to you. I know I'm supposed to search catagories for questions but who has that much time? My baby is 8 months old and still has accidents inside the house, I'm thinking that's normal but could use some feedback and how do we get her to let us know when she needs to go outside. I'm hoping she will eventually start baking by the door when she needs to go out. Realistic or dream? |

| ![]() Please don't take offense to that one post, it's not worth it. My Mom bought a puppy from a recommended pet store years ago that we now know got their pups from Pennsylvania puppy mills. Luckily she was healthy and still going strong at 10 years old. You are not simpleminded, just human. Good luck with your precious pup, I'm a new owner too. My little girl Shadow is 5 1/2 months and she's even wormed her way into my son's heart. He has a black lab and doesn't consider the little ones "real dogs". I remind him of that every time I see him cuddling Shadow. Good Luck. |

Yorkie Talker | ![]() OMGosh! Shadow is a doll. We took Josie to puppy kindergarten and she seems to be very socialized due to the play times they incorporate into their training program. I really notice how unfriendly alot of dogs are that I encounter when out and about now. Hope this does not change as she ages. |

| ![]() Well my comment was not meant to 'offend' anyone, nor was it a "personal attack" as you felt the need to scold me about via PM. (Which was equally as "unnecessary.") That's really stretching it, if you ask me. If you or the OP took offense to it, then that is your choice and I'm sorry you chose to take it and translate it in a manner that was not intended. But I'm not going to apologize for bringing the issue up! No, not everyone is aware of the issue with puppy mills and not everyone is aware of how carefully they should research breeders or what they need to look for when purchasing a dog. Some issues people experience could have been avoided if they'd only been more prepared when searching for their dog in the first place. If stressing that when the opportunity presents itself and a siutation like this comes up helps prevent someone else from making the same mistake, then isn't that's a GOOD thing? |

Where exactly did you purchase your baby from? Was it from World Kennels directly? Or a pet store that was supplied by World Kennels? Or a broker who bought puppies for resale? I looked at their site and I did not like the little video at the bottom of the yorkies on the table. Seemed very dangerous! Plus there was a pic in the 'about us' page that showed a building that definitely did not look like a palace!!

Yorkie Talker | ![]() They do not show the house in any shots. But I recognize the guy on the video. He is the son of the sellers, they do not speak good English. The son conducts the sales. I also recognize the surroundings. I am from the Mojave Desert and frequented the Lancaster area alot. I grew up around that area. That video is World Kennel USA. The dogs are then taken to Korea town to that dog boutique. I am just grateful that my pup is a healthy, smart baby girl. I just felt violated but I'm over it now. |

No one is questioning your intent. We all hate puppy mills. But can you see that your comment above could be construed as being a bit judgmental and condescending? It's the way you said what you said that could be taken as hurtful. People are not BORN knowing about puppy mills. Some find out about them before they buy, but some find out later. It is sad, to be sure. I'm just saying it happens. We're all human-nobody knows everything. So we just go on and do the best we can once we find out the truth. Sometimes, when people get caught up in a scam, they really don't know what they "don't know", or what they should be looking out for. I think the important thing is to be kind to one another. I know we are all passionate about our babies. Lets try to show the same caring towards one another. We all make mistakes.

Yorkie Talker | ![]() Looked at the website and saw the house you were referring to. Yeah, that is NOT the house I went to. Funny how they show that pic. That's probably just a house down the street. Ha! They are way out in the middle of nowhere and from what I understand, they are not the only one out in that area. It is so remote and removed from the community that it is a perfect location to hide. We had to have that kid come meet us to show us the way. Our GPS could not even locate the address. Looks like a new home so perhaps that's why the GPS could not find it. I have emailed the kid about the breach of contract issue but he just ignores it. The contract states that the papers will be received by us within 120 days. Well, that didn't happen. As stated before, I do not have the time or money to pursue it. I live over 4 hours from there now. I have been educated by all this and I appreciate the lessons. |
