I'm so glad that both you and Poppy are ok! RU is a runner and has gotten out so many times and takes off down the street. One time a car was turning around and he was right next to the back tire! Thank God the lady saw I was chasing something and didnt move! They're so tiny they're little sneaks! I always have a death grip on their leashes whether walking or in the car!

Thats really scary! Im glad RU is okay.

Thank goodness Poppy is OK. What a scare!! A similar thing happened to me when my baby was younger. I yelled to my kids that I needed help and ran up the street after my dog. I screamed to him, Sammy, Mommy has cheese!! and he stopped. I picked him up and my hands were shaking so hard. My oldest son said to me -Mom I never knew you could run so fast! I told him that I never knew Sammy could run so fast!!

Bubba has gotten out of his harness a couple times. This is what works for me when he is running-I call his name and call "lets go" and run in the opposite direction and he turns and follows.
try it in your yard a couple of times, just to see what your little one does before you try it in an actual situation.

Things happen to all of us. You are far from being alone. I'm just so glad Poppy and you are both ok. It's true, too, that once something like that happens that you'll be paranoid from now on and be so very careful. All it takes is a scare like that. I really am glad both of you are fine.

I'm glad everyone is safe at home now. I too have had a many panic attacks bc of manolo - they bolt off soooo incredibly fast . Even when I'm holding the leash Im already thinking every second don't ever loose grip lol
