I am not sure if I say silly things, but my girl goes everywhere with me. I've taken her to the movies (to see Marley and Me) to many restaurants, to the beach, sailing, motorcycle riding, camping and hiking, but its walking through Home Depot with her where my brother refuses to stand near me. He has little dog issues I guess.

Ok I think it’s time a man speaks up for all the men who are not here to defend them selves against these silly allegations of being soft and sensitive with their yorkies!!!!! Just so all you woman know.....it's true!!!! We can’t help ourselves!!!! ;-) To look at me with the muscles and tattoos you would not think I could turn to mush when Cody showers me with kisses but I do! But come on folks male or female, you would have to be heartless not to succumb to the powers of a puppy..... Unconditional love at its finest folks!

My BF has loved Dolly since the first night he met her... Since then, he always greets her first. He plays kissy games with her, and calls her his little princess and takes naps with her. Right now he's actually sitting next to me on the couch, barely watching the football game because he's too busy snuggling with the pup. Oh and I can't forget last night. We came home from a long night at my company Christmas party. It was 1am, but he actually got out the snowblower and made a path in the 2.5 feet of snow we got because Dolly couldn't get out the back door, and doesn't like doing her business in the front. Spent 20 minutes snowblowing, then 15 minutes outside playing with her, while I was inside already in my pj's.

![]() And Palmerck, love that story! Snowblower at 1 a.m. for the Yorkie says it all. But it brings up a rare serious question from me: Do women get offended when men greet the dogs first? My wife has never said anything to me, but it struck me recently that could be interpreted as rude, so I'm making a point of greeting her first before hugging the pups.

I've loved little terriers since I was about 6 y.o., and am not embarrassed at all about it (but I wont tell you the silly names I call our guys). All those guys with the big dogs are the ones who are insecure! When we played Monopoly as kids, I was always the terrier I had to convince the GF to get our first who was going to a shelter if we didn’t adopt him, and now he has passed away after 14 years of joy he brought us. I took him with me on business trips to FL and CA that lasted months. Would have been very tough without him. Our current pack of 2 gets all the love and attention we can give them. I am in charge of grooming and do most of the walking, and am also in charge of entertainment, which entails a massive amount of playing fetch and tug-O-war. Who doesn't turn to mush when their little Yorkie wants to sit on your lap? And who can deny them their fetch game when they stare at you like that??? ![]()

Alaskayorkie, I can't complain when the BF greets Dolly first - I do the same thing! But really, I'm just happy that he loves her and treats her so well. He doesn't think I'm crazy for spoiling her because he's the same way. And deonk1, trust me, I plan on keeping him around, because as good as he treats Dolly, he treats me even better

My husband has always gotten large dogs (golden retriever, black lab, Viszla). He never thought the little ones were "real" dogs. Well, I knew Shadow had really gotten to him when, with her in my arms, I leaned down to kiss him goodnight and he kissed the dog! I've found my adult son holding her and giving her kisses, too. Can't help but love 'em!
