| Yorkies are not well known to be good with children. I know that may not be a popular statement to many, but it is true. I cannot tell you how many we get in rescue because of the problems with children. Often it is simply because children are too quick in their movments and it scares the pups. This little guy could very well have been around children and not been happy with them; and it could be behavior that is ingrained. I would not push it too fast with him. He has been through enough! I would teach the children to stay away from him until and IF he settles. I have one here who has not gotten used to my grandson yet and he is four years old. He knows to leave her alone! She was traumatized long before coming to my home and while she has come a long way, she still has issues.

| Awww Teddy looks GREAT! I'm shocked that those sweatshirts I sent you are so big on him! My Dexter seems soo small to me I have a hard time picturing a smaller dog! haha I hope they at least stay on him and help keep him warm! You are doing great with him Alicia, he seems very happy now and is really adorable! Again, all the luck in the world with him getting used to your children. My dogs are starting to warm up to my boyfriends kids but they are older and it's taken nearly 3 years (we have them 50% of the time). My dogs were never aggressive toward them just avoid at all costs!

| I think I am in love with this discussion thread. Teddy is such a beautiful little guy and has obviously already claimed you as his own! I wish you the best in breaking him of his aggressiveness b/c he doesn't want to share. At the same time, he obviously is so thoroughly enjoying having it so good with you that he is going to do all he can to keep it!!! Peggy, Monkey & Maddie

| Tedy is just adorable and you can tell he is just a happy little guy. When my yorkies got on up in age they could not tolerate the cold very well either. Good luck to all of you. |
