I was going to add something along this line also. I got ripped off on my first male Yorkie and never got his papers (that is why my pups were sold with no papers as I mentioned above). Anyway, I ran into a girl that bred Boxers and I told her how I got ripped off and had no papers for my male. She actually said to me "Do you know anyone else that would let you use their Yorkie's AKC information?" I couldn't believe it. I said that I would NEVER do that and she said she and others that she knows does it all the time. | |

| ![]() Probably not. Looking over the paperwork, only think I need is the certified 3 generation pedigree (already ordered). But wow, that's a lot of paperwork. I just feel lucky to have my baby no matter what. The AKC papers to me are just a bonus. With or without her papers she's priceless to me, as I'm sure everyone else's are to them. Thanks guys for all the info and help.

| ![]() Wow @ Julz. That's crazy! If someone tried/attempted to use my dog's info that way you bet your butt I'd be taking someone to court. That's outrageous that people actually attempt/do these sorts of things. ![]()

| ![]() I know! My gosh, the only way I'd ever use someone's AKC info. is if I bred my dog with THEIR DOG! I would never, and couldn't even imagine asking someone for their males AKC numbers and info. to falsely send in with a litter registration ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by Julz; 11-01-2005 at 12:37 PM. |

| ![]() They are risking loosing their breeding registration rights with AKC using someone else's information. With AKC you are agreeing to be spot checked whenever they want to check records and if they want DNA testing - and it better come out okay! That is a Big No No to lie on papers! Now people that get pups or down the road great-granddogs later - these people will not know whose lines their dogs from. What is a pedigree worth if people lie on their papers? T. |
